MELTED MY HEART AWAY

Alpha Herrick's POV

We had only five days to spend at the Crescent Ridge pack, due to the final arrangements we had to make to put our bargains in order. From the Executive board room of the Crescent Ridge pack, I and the Alpha of the Crescent Ridge pack – Alpha Logan – alongside other executives from both sides had watched Elena working tirelessly to make sure she healed every plagued member of the pack. Her determination to make sure she put her gift to effective use was something that melted my heart away, nevertheless, I had to look out for my pack before anything else.

There was only one thing my pack lacked which could have made us fearful among the neighbouring pack and even in the entire regional state. It was the only thing we needed desperately: space.

"Turn them into your weapons in of war and make sure they bow to you," Beta Alexander had advised me before we set out for the Cresent Ridge pack.
