Chapter 4: [Chaos Eyes]

One week has passed since the time kanzaki willingly decided to try to join the chaos breakers

And today August 21,2030 was the day that was appointed for him to visit the Sub-Headquarters of the Chaos Breakers stationed in Grandora City

As Kanzaki exited the cab he was at a loss for words to describe the place

The Sub-Headquarter is as big as a fortress with turrets protruding at the edges of every structures with AI installed in them... Not only that but there are also AI controlled drones patrolling the area

"This place feels like the most protected place in this city" Kanzaki exclaimed

"That's because it is"(???)

A voice suddenly interrupted in

"Hello I'm Makoto Sanaguchi" said Sanaguchi

Name: Makoto Sanaguchi

Age: 27

Gender: Male

Occupation: ???

Skill: None

Nationality: Japanese

Status: Working in Chaos Breakers Sub-Headquarters

"Ah! Hello" said Kanzaki visible startled

"You must be Jhin Kanzaki! The head chief already told me about you" said Sanaguchi

"Ah!!! It seems so" replied Kanzaki

"I'll be bringing you to the head chief now" said Sanaguchi

"Please do" said Kanzaki respectfully

As Kanzaki entered the Sub-Headquarters he was surprised at what he saw... There was a long hallway connected to other hallways with each lead to multiple rooms

There were rooms for blacksmithing, room for operation cars, room for cafeteria, room for training, room for experimenting, room for weapons, and many more...... He even saw a hanger filled with combat Jets and cargo plane inside

"Woah! The world's government really spends a lot of its finances on this organization" exclaimed Kanzaki

"He-he! That's just a peak of an iceberg" said Sanaguchi while smiling

"You don't say!" Kanzaki was surprised by sanaguchi's reply

As they were talking they arrived at the command post where Oliver is currently located

"So! You've arrived" welcomed Oliver

"Well I'm here" Kanzaki replied

"I've always known you will come up with the right answer" exclaimed Oliver confidently

"And your the head chief!... You know your aura doesn't match up your rank" Kanzaki pointed out

"Hahahaha!!!! Well this is this and that is that.... you get it right?" Oliver asked

"Uh! Yeah! I totally get it" Kanzaki replied

Oliver is currently in his uniform his wearing a longcoat with a badge in his collar  indicating his rank in the organization

As he walked down from his commanding post Oliver said to Kanzaki

"So you want to know how to join the Chaos Breakers!" Asked Oliver

"Yes! Tell me how to get in!" Answered Kanzaki

"Ah!!! That's just easy....." Said Oliver

"Easy?" Asked Kanzaki

"You'll just have to pass the entrance test"answered Oliver

"Entrance test?..... There's a test!!!" Asked Kanzaki not expecting that there was a test needed to pass

"Two test exactly..... One is a written test and the second is for the practical" said Oliver

"Well I'll assure you that you'll have an easy time passing the written test but for the practical..... Maybe you can try to survive as long as you can!?" Oliver added

"Wait why? Hey! What's in the practical?" Asked Kanzaki clearly worried

"Oh nothing much... It's just a random match of you against a realistic hologram chaos being" said Oliver

"WHAT!!! Your kidding me!!!" Said Kanzaki surprised by what he heard

"No I'm not..... But don't worry I got it covered" said Oliver assuringly

"I'm dead meat" said Kanzaki

"Well practically you are" said Oliver

"Let me ask you first before everything else" Oliver added

As Oliver said this Kanzaki listened to him intently

"How much do you know about the term Chaos Eyes? Asked Oliver seriously

"Chaos Eyes?" Answered Kanzaki clearly confused

"I see..... Let me tell you about how Chaos eyes came to be" said Oliver realizing Kanzaki has no idea whatsoever about the question he ask

It all started with our current Top General and Founder of Chaos Eyes Alexander Garcia, a person born between an successfull American businessman Henry Garcia and Filipino women named Sarah Garcia

Since birth Alexander or Alex has been treated harshly by his own father for his softness, so strict that one could even leave a trauma on Alex

He's been beaten up, kicked, strangled, and even isolated, even if he were left to convulsed from suffering his father didn't show a hint of kindness for him

Because of this Alex mental resistance is higher than anyone else his age and also this made him become much closer to his mother who cares for him

His mother can't argue with his father at all.... after all his father is the reason why his mother is living such a grandiose lifestyle and not left to suffer

When Alex turned 18 his father died of cancer, leaving his entire fortune to be owned by his son but even with this Alex never even shed any tears for his father, this just shows how much he loathes his own father

10 years has passed Alex has lived happily with his mother and fiancee Helen Connor

At the night before the catastrophe, Alex talked to his mother

"Alex?" Said Sarah as he called her son Alex

"Yes Mom!?" Said Alex

"Come here for a second" said Sarah

"What is it mom?" Asked Alex

"Have you been doing well? Make sure not to tire yourself out of work okay?" Said Sarah

"What are you saying mom? Of course I'm okay!!" Replied Alex clearly worried by his mother's question

"Well I feel that my time is near and I just want to make sure" said Sarah

Hearing this Alex became even more worried

"Mom! Don't say such things or else fate will jinx you know" said Alex

"Silly boy! I'm just assuring you" said Sarah while smiling

"Still....." Insisted Alex

"Hahaha! Fine! Fine!" Laughed aside by Sarah

Little did Alex know that this will be his last proper talk he had with his mother

In the next morning while taking a jog around the district Alex wondered

"Hmmm!? Today's mom 50th birthday what should I get her?.... Oh I know I'll just ask Helen after all only a woman would know what a woman wants hehe!!!"

As Alex thought of this happily, a crack in the sky appeared

"What the...." Said Alex surprised

At that instant a rift was opened and hundred of creatures of different shapes and sizes poured out of the crack

People were screaming, terrified as these monsters slaughtered the defenceless people

As the slaughter continues, several rifts opened up in different places in the world and at that day was the day that will forever be etched in history as the day when the Chaos War started

While escaping, Alex thought about his mother's safety so he immediately headed back home..... But when he got back home all he saw was a house on fire and the guards and personnel dead on the ground

Not losing hope he went inside the burning house to search for his mother

But what he saw next was contrary to what he expect, there was a creature inside the burning living room strangling his mother

Because of this his emotions bursted out of control and cause of anger he charged recklessly at the creature to save his mother

After minutes of fighting Alex end up victorious at the cost of his left eye

He immediately held his mother in his arms

"Mom wake up! I'm here! Your son I here! See!" Said Alex tearing up

"Alex? Is that you my son?" Asked Sarah weakly

"Yes Mom! I killed the creature..... Your safe now..... So please don't leave me" beg Alex

Silly boy! I'll never leave you... I'll always be forever in your heart.... Forever!" Said Sarah

"Mom don't say that.... Please....please survive! You have to!" Insisted Alex tears filled his face

"Alex my son! My precious son! My beloved son! My little angel! I'm proud I gave birth to such a wonderful, loving child..... Don't be sad.... I hate seeing you suffer son.... Your my pride and joy Alexander my little angel! Mommy will always love you" said Sarah as she breath her last

Alex was shocked seeing his mother not moving a muscle

"Mom? Mom? Mom!!!..... Help! Someone please help me!... Mom! No no no no please God no! Please don't take her away from me" Alex wailed as he cried for his mother's death

A month passed Alex decided that in  order to avenge his mother he will kill all the invaders so he joined the military, endured harsh training, and was able to fight in the frontlines...

and because Helen wants to support Alex she too joined the military and later on joined him on the frontlines too.... They fought multiple creatures in different shapes and sizes, rescued survivors and accomplished missions

2 years has passed since they joined the military,on the night of their last mission together, Alex went to Helen to talk about something

"Helen" Alex called out

"Oh! Hey!!!.... So did they approve it?"asked Helen

"Well yeah! The upper brass approved our resignation" said Alex

"That's great!... It's been 2 years now.... We need to settle down for our new member of our family" said Helen

(Helen is pregnant with Alex child)

"Your right! After this well get married and settledown in a villa with our child okay?" Asked Alex

"That's fine as long as we're together" replied Helen

"Right" said Alex

Both Helen and Alex spend the night embracing each other dreaming of their future peacefully

THE NEXT DAY

"This wasn't in the report fall back! Fall back! Ahhhh!!!" Shouted by one of the soldiers as he died

"HYIIIIHHHHH!!!!"

"HELP ME!!!"

The group where Alex and Helen was appointed at was being attacked by a Titan sized chaos being

"They told us it was a beast type not a Titan type!" Cried one of the soldiers

As gunshots and explosives were either shot or thrown at the Titan type chaos being, damage begun to surface on its body, but the Titan type chaos being wasn't fazed by it and continued to slaughter the soldiers

"Damn it! Albert! Alex shouted realizing that if this continues  none of them would survive

(Albert is one of his trusted companion)

"Take Helen with you and escape now" Alex ordered

Alex thought that at the very least he could make his fiancee and child escape safely for his sake

"What? No I'm staying! I won't leave you!" Replied Helen

"No you've got to live for my sake! And for my child! I'll make sure I make it back to you!.... Promise!!!" Said Alex as he consoled Helen

As Alex finished consoling Helen he immediately dashed off to face the Titan type chaos being

Alex fired light bullets from his rifle and thrown grenades at it to divert it's attention

But the Titan type chaos being is intelligent and immediately used rupture to blow Alex off of its feet

As Alex was in mid-air the  Titan type chaos being grabbed Alex and tried to crush him

When Alex was captured he was glad that he was able to get it's attention and to make sure that Helen have escaped he look at where he left her before he dashed off to fight the Titan type chaos being

But what he saw next was contrary to what he expect

Helen was still there with Albert, they didn't even use the opportunity to make their escape

"What are you doing? RUN!!!!" shouted Alex

Seeing her beloved Alex being crushed by the Titan type chaos being Helen begged for Albert to help Alex to escape, but what Albert did next had put both Helen and Alex into a great shock

Albert stabbed Helen in her stomach with a saber

"NOOOOO!!!!!" Screamed Alex

"Albert?" Asked Helen seemingly confused

"I'm sorry I can't die yet! You have to be the bait Helen for me to escape! I'm sorry!" Exclaimed Albert as he left Helen half-dead on the floor

As Alex saw this he was mortified seeing his most trusted guy kill his most beloved person was an act worse than betrayal

Because of this incident a power lurking inside Alex burst out of control

"AH!..... AH!..... AHHHHHH!!!" Alex screamed

In that moment a huge wave of Mana was enveloping Alex and the color of his right eye changed to purple and it's pupil like a beast

Instantly a huge mental suppression weighed down on the Titan type chaos being

As the Titan type chaos being tried to revolt Alex glared at it and murmured

"Just die!"

Instantly the head of the Titan type chaos being exploded to pieces

When Alex was done dealing with the chaos being he approached Helen and embraced her

"Alex I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I couldn't protect our child" cried Helen

When he heard these words he tightly hugged Helen

"It's ok! Don't give up! Please!" Said Alex crying

He cupped Helen's face and said

"We were supposed to become a happy family right!?.... So please don't give up.... Your the only person I have left..... Please don't go!" Begged Alex

"I'm sorry! I'm truly sorry!" Helen Apologized

"It's alright! Your gonna be okay! It's all alright!" Said Alex comforting Helen

"I love you" cried Helen one last time before she closed her her eyes

"Helen!?.... No please no.... Why?.....why?" Cried Alex as he drowned in sorrow

After the scientist examined Alex he was discovered to have an ability similar to the chaos beings

They concluded that the reason he has this ability is due to direct contact of the creatures blood to his deep wounds at first encounter

They also found out that a person will know when his ability is activated is when there's Mana surrounding his body also when his eye color change and the shape of it's pupil formed different shapes

Using this ability Alex climbed up to the top of the organizations position and declared to recruit all potential ability users.... Later on he named the eyes that lets them use the ability of the invaders as Chaos Eyes

Due to the abundance of Chaos Eyes users in the organization and increase in military strength he renamed the organization befitting for its members from Defenders to Chaos Breakers

"That's how Chaos Eyes was first discovered" said Oliver

"Kanzaki was speechless for a moment learning how the Chaos Eyes was discovered and how the Top General and Founder of the Chaos Breakers Suffered in his past

In exchange for power he lost what he held important the most

Kanzaki finally understood that in this organization people die and suffer in order to protect the many

In this new battlefield his going to enter only one rule applies "Survival Of The Fittest"

        *It almost made me cry when I was writing the mother and son last moment! I was imagining it happening to me
