Chapter 188:[Operation Main (Chaos II)]

At the same time around that moment when the group of soldiers and users entered the passageway, August felt the presence of people entering the passageway that his group had created in order to escape any assault done to the hidden base that they had found. With his keen senses and some essence he left behind that got triggered, he knew immediately knew that the organization was at their tail and chasing them blindly in this dark passageway.

However actually encountering them would need a huge amount of miracle, after all the passageway is made with multiple splitting ways in every juncture which often leads to a dead end or  traps. Alongside it there were also chaos beings that they had captured scattered all over the passageways which will hinder anything that comes close to them.

In that case with his group which had fully memorized the safe pathway of the passageway, is the only people that could lead anyone out from this maze like structure.

The exit of the passageway is located at the most crowded and most less suspicious area in the city. Once they got out, they're plan was to scatter all around the city in order to attract less attention and blend in to the crowd until the situation subside.

After everything is over, they will then regroup  at the checkpoint they had established outside the city and over towards another spot which is much more hidden than the current one they had recently used. They believe that once they had relocated their base of operation, the organization itself would have a hard time finding their exact tracks at the maximum of 3 to 5 years, but such a short time span is good enough for them to strengthen themselves and create a huge army consisting of chimera and take their revenge to the world that had once forsaken them which resulted to the deaths of their friends.

While this was in his thoughts, August then soon saw the end of the tunnel, as light shone on the faces of everyone which led to the exit of the long passageway. Once they got out, they were naturally blinded by the light of the sun, as they slowly readjusted their sight and got used to the lightings of the surroundings.

The moment all of them got out, Viktor, Helena, and Kentaro looked all over the surroundings before reassuring the other members that it was safe to naturally come out. Once the go signal was given, August reminded the whole team about the protocol for this part of the escape and took the responsibility to take ahold of their most prized captive, Claire.

Since August look a bit old due to his unruly appearance and his beard that was unkept, he looks about at an age which is similar to as an uncle towards Claire. Additionally with his appearance, he looks like like your typical harmless neighborhood uncle.

As for Argie, their second captive that was on its way to execution, he will be guarded by Viktor who served as August trusted aid in this group and somewhat only second in command.

After the reminder was done, everyone then dispersed in every direction and scattered among the crowd.

However not long after each members of the terrorist's group had scattered, August saw two Soldiers in their combat uniform and one user that were most likely part of the organizations Russian branch, patrolling the area and looking over the crowded people of the city.

 The moment he saw these group of men, he then made eye contact with the other members who also noticed the group of men, before reminding them to act normal. Alongside it Blood kept ti9ghtly ahold of Claire on her hand and threatened to kill every single one of the people here if she ever dared to fight back and ask for help.

Since Claire care so much for life to the point she detest her capacity to take life from other beings, she had no choice but to follow august lead and quietly walk among the crowd.

Soon after they then passed by the group of men as both August and Claire normally blended into the crowd and never peak the attention of the people part of the organization. But the moment they were finally through from the eyes of the organization, one soldier then picked up something from the ground and looked back towards their direction.

The moment the soldeir tapped August shoulder, the atmosphere in the area suddenly froze from the tension as August begun to debate whether to kill the soldier that had tapped him or escape with the child on his hand. As August contemplated on this, he then looked behind him and saw the soldier happily handing them a handkerchief that he had picked up from the ground.

"Excuse me! is this your handkerchief?"

The moment this question was given out, August then looked at the handkerchief on the hand of the soldier, as he smiled and replied.

"Ah! yes its mine... thank you for picking it up"

"No problem"

Following that the soldier then looked at the child that was being held by August as she somehow felt familiar, but despite how much tinkering he did in his mind, he cant seem to remember on where he had seen the girl.

"What a lovely daughter you have"

"... This is my niece"

"Oh! is that so? I'm sorry for the mistake... anyway carry on"

As the soldier turned his back on August and Claire who simultaneously walk away calmly, the soldier then suddenly felt a knocking conscious on the back of his head as if he had somewhat forgotten something. Unable to contain his curiosity, he then looked over the file about the operation, before looking over at the main target to save from this operation.

In that moment his eyes stared wide in shock as he saw the picture of a girl child which somewhat resembles to the child that the bearded person he just encountered. Feeling something was amiss and his suspicion was proven right, he then relayed the information on his team through his comms as he held his gun and turned towards August.

At the same time the moment August felt the sudden change of the aura of the soldeir when it begun to rush at him, he then knew that they were found out, as he begun to prepare to kill the person who found out their  identity. 

So without a moments notice, the moment the soldier got close into his proximity, just when he was about to raise up its gun and point it towards him, August then formed a blade made out of blood from the tip of his hand and directly killed the soldier in just one throw of the blade to its neck.

The moment the soldier died and blood was spilled, the whole crowded area then turned into a mass panic as people begun to flee from the open murder they have witnessed in broad daylight.
