Chapter 129: [Ryuuji intervenes]

After crashing down to the ground from the initial cross strike from both Arthur and Roland, Victor then quickly got up on his feet as he got annoyed from having the fact that he was thrown back by such mere lowly attack coming from a no name, after all Ryuuji himself was well known as a field agent from the organization based in the man made island/city, thus building his reputation to such heights wherein he is well acquainted to numerous users all over the world, on the other hand the trio name3ly Arthur, Roland, and Joana are just no name people right before his eyes

Aside from well known field agent from the organization, Victor knows no one else that came from inside the walls, thus the reason for his anger

Unfortunately despite his anger being showed clearly for everyone to see, both Arthur and Roland then came in like a swoosh and directly engaged in combat against Victor once more and this time with an intent to bring him down

While both Arthur and Roland were keeping Victor occupied, Joana on the other hand solely focused on how to get Claire back to the ground and remove Victor's control over her, in fact she tried many ways like pulling her using her ability  an d isolating her in a spherical space, but no matter what she do, she somehow couldn't pull her down

At that time, Victor noticed Joana trying to intervene his control over Claire and immediately became annoyed, because of that he lifted both Arthur and Roland up from the ground using his gravity ability and slammed them down to the ground in a crash as hard as he could

After doing that he then turned towards Joana's direction as he directly pulled her in using his ability and clenched his fist, before giving out a deep stomach punch towards the person herself, but as he did such an act, he then suddenly realized that Joana was able to block his punch using some kind of a barrier around her and had somehow managed to apply a healing ability towards both Arthur and Roland

With such a supportive act, Arthur and Roland was able to stand up on their feet once more as they charged forward and swung their sword towards Victor, thus forcing the latter to immediately take a defensive stance

But no matter how both Arthur and Roland slashed out their swords towards Victor, they still couldn't break through to his defenses, thus forcing them to quickly think up of a way to breakthrough such a tough barrier and immediately retrieve Claire from their opponents grasp

With a shout Arthur sent out a sword wave towards Victor as he pushed him back by a few blocks and started stabbing in his sword against his barrier

As if reading his thoughts, Roland quickly ran towards Arthur's openings and started delivering his attacks in between those slight instances, thus  revealing no openings for Victor to exploit, due to that Victor was once again annoyed by this sudden turn of events

"This damned Barrier! we just cant seem to penetrate through it" complained Arthur

"There must be a way... Meire! look up to his barrier! find a way to breakthrough it! coordinate with Maya and Meine!"

(Meire: "Understood! we are looking up to it now!")

(Maya: "All we know is that, it is some kind of a barrier made out of gravity")

(Meine: "A gravity barrier!!!")

(Meire: "Aside from fire the gravity barrier can be destroyed using an ability which can apply pressure to an object, thus causing it to break like a glass")

"So in the end we need someone who can use fire?" asks Arthur

"Or pressure type ability" interjected Roland

"You guys... just focus your strike on one central focal point to pressure the barrier in that one particular area" said Joanna in an irritated manner

(Maya: "Yes! you guys need to do that! by concentrating in one area in which the force can be accumulated, you guys would be able to disrupt the gravitational flow of the barrier")

Upon hearing those words, both Arthur and Roland then nodded at each other as they charged towards Victor and slashed out their sword towards the center point of Victor's barrier, however Victor just wouldn't take it lying down either as he quickly raises up earthen blockage it between them and started throwing all of them towards both Arthur and Roland

With that both Arthur and Roland were forced to dodged to the side as both of them rolled along the ground before getting up and charging once more, but this time one of them specifically Arthur was pulled up into the air and slammed against the charging Roland

At that both of them were thrown to the side as Victor dashed pass them  and headed for the exit out of the residential area itself, but before he could get out fully, Joana  then suddenly intercepted in between as she manifested a huge golden barrier on her arm named Aegis and slammed it towards Victor with an attempt to stop his escape

But such a futile attempt was nothing but a small obstacle on Victor's path, thus without further effort he quickly pushed Joana aside  so easily and not breaking a sweat as he completely ignored her and continued on his way, but this time another interferance had happened as a sword came flying before him as it stabbed unto the ground and erupted in bright  and hot red flames

In that instant Victor then suddenly realized that Ryuuji had finally able to catch up to him and it was all because of the three people who stalled him for too long, with that he was truly infuriated by the fact that he got stalled by nobodies, but despite his complains, he was still engulfed by hot red flames causing his control over Claire in the air to deteriorate and causing her to drop in the sky

but as Claire falls, RYuuji then quickly swept under as she caught her in mid air and held her tight near his chest, of course Claire wasn't naïve enough to accidentally use her ability on someone she cared about, thus to prevent any accidents to happen which she may regret, she only smiled back towards Ryuuji while carefully hiding her hands inside her own sleeves

"Thank you!"

"No worries"

After that Ryuuji faced off against Victor as he gave Claire towards Joana and and directly stood in front of him

"Your not getting away that easily!"
