Let's Break Up (1)

"Ugh... Brother.... Xuan?.."

Lu Jingyi woke up to realize that she dreamt about a young boy call Brother Xuan.

Who was Brother Xuan? Why did she dreamt of him? Was he someone she knew in the past?

"Ugh.... Pain.."

Lu Jingyi was having a headache. After a while, she felt better and went to wash herself up.

Lu Jingyi knew that her headache was related to the past where Father Lu explained that when she was younger, she was kidnapped. Therefore, she was traumatized and had selective amnesia of what happened.

But Lu Jingyi would not believe it was that simple. She figured it must have been more than just a simple kidnapping.

Lu Jingyi also knew that her father deliberately concealed the truth about the incident. Even if she ask, Father Lu would not tell her as he was worried about her.

Even though Lu Jingyi wanted to know the truth, she would not think about it as she didn't want to have a headache.

After breakfast, Lu Jingyi went to work. As a fashion designer, she had to come up with various designs for her upcoming fashion line. She wrecked her head to think.

What should the theme be? What kind of design? What customer should she focus on?

While she was thinking, she received a call from Bai Liancheng.

She was hesitant to accept the call. Eventually, she accepted it.

"Jingyi, want to have lunch together? It's been two weeks we haven't seen each other. I miss you."

Bai Liancheng was in his usual gentle tone when he spoke to Lu Jingyi.

"Sure, let's meet at twelve in the noon. Where shall we eat?"

"I have book a room at our favourite restaurant, Liu Ye."

"Okay. See you soon."

After Lu Jingyi hung up, she smirked. Time to end this. Then, an idea popped up her mind, her fashion theme would be 'Restart' to describe her life in a new journey.

Lu Jingyi smiled and various design ideas was popping in her mind. She started to draw on her design without stopping as inspiration came to her.

Lunch time came and Lu Jingyi went to meet Bai Liancheng in Liu Ye.

As she entered the restaurant, she saw Bai Liancheng sitting at the corner looking handsomely while he smile gently as he ordered something.

If one didn't know, he looked like a prince charming waiting for his princess but sadly, Lu Jingyi felt like it's too fake after the discovery of his betrayal.

"You're here. I ordered your favourite matcha latte. What do you want to eat?"

Bai Liancheng smile gently as usual.

"Cabonara spaghetti."

"Okay." Then he turn to the waitress and ordered.

"One cabonara spagetti, please."

The waitress nodded and blushed at his smile.

After the waitress was gone, the two of them started chatting.

"You look beautiful as always. I'm sorry I haven't have enough time to spend with you. You know how my work is, I have to get busy everyday."

Bai Liancheng started to explain as he looked like he was guilty about something.

"Including weekends?"

Lu Jingyi raised her eyebrows. She looked at him as though she waa interrogating him.

"Y-yeah. My boss is a tough one. He tortured us until he was satisfied of our work."

Bai Liancheng didn't know why but he suddenly felt nervous in front of Lu Jingyi. It's like she became a different person. The coldness of her voice and she's exuding a domineering aura.

"Oh. Are you SURE?"

Lu Jingyi made sure she stressed the last word to press him further to tell her the truth.

"Y-Yes."

Bai Liancheng was slightly shaken as he suddenly fear the woman in front of him.

"Let's break up."

Bai Liancheng was shocked. He didn't know why she suddenly want to break up.
