Bonus Chapter (5)

Thirty years ago.

Xia Yiwei, a.k.a Mother Xu, an average girl with a normal life. But there's a secret in her.

She had a crush on someone. Someone who was out of her reach. His name is Xu Xiaodong, a.k.a Father Xu, a boy who was the top of the university.

He was charming and had a cheerful personality. He was popular and everyone liked him, be it boys or girls. He was also the heir to the Xu's Group.

When she first met him, it was when checking the results of the entrance exam. A crowd surrounded him and all of them was either his friend or his admirers.

It was because of the crowd, she can't see the result and can't find it. She was pushed by the crowd and eventually she fell down.

A hand reached out to her pulled her up and prevented her from falling down.

It was Xu Xiaodong.

"Are you okay?"

"Oh, I'm fine. Thank you."

Xu Xiaodong smiled at her after pulling her up. He then was called by his friend and said goodbye to Xia Yiwei.

Xia Yiwei's heart skipped a bit when he smiled. She wondered if she could see the smile up close again.

From that day on, she would noticed him whenever she coincidencely was in the same place as him.

By the time she realized it, she had fall for him deeply and noticed every little detail about him.

One day, on the rooftop of one of the department building. She wanted to have lunch on the rooftop.

That was her secret place to eat whenever she had to eat alone. She will eat with her friends if they were not busy.

The rooftop barely had people. And she liked the quietness and wind.

She realized there's a person sitting at the corner eating with a lunchbox. She went forward and looked who it was and saw it was Xu Xiaodong.

Xu Xiaodong was stunned and surprised that there was someone here on the rooftop.

"H-Hello."

Xia Yiwei awkwardly greeted him. Xu Xiaodong immediately closed his lunchbox and greeted her back.

He didn't saw that coming. He always had his lunch here alone. Who knew there was someone here today.

Looking at the awkward atmosphere, Xu Xiaodong gestured her to sit down.

Xia Yiwei sat down. She argued with herself in her head. Isn't this an opportunity to interact with him?

She encouraged herself and spoke up.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Xia Yiwei."

"Hi, I'm Xu Xiaodong."

"Where are your friends? Did they not join you?"

"No. I was eating by myself."

"I saw the food on your lunchbox. It looks delicious. Did your mother cook it?"

"No."

"Oh, so did you cook it?"

"Yes."

Xu Xiaodong's face was slightly red. Normally, he was a cheerful person and could interact with anyone.

However, he didn't mention to anyone that he cooked his own lunch. To him, it was quite embarrassing and he always eat alone to prevent anyone saw him.

"You must be skilled at cooking. I wish I had your skill."

"Please don't tell anyone about this. It's embarrassing."

Xia Yiwei didn't know what so embarrassing of someone who knows how to cook.

"Why?"

"I love cooking that's why I cook the food for myself. But it's embarrassing for anyone to know that the heir of Xu's Group cooking his own lunch."
