Mia immediately got up from the chair when she saw Julian's presence. With tightly clenched fists and smoldering lungs, the girl stomped towards the CEO.

“Why did you just leave, Sir? Didn't you think about Miss Johnson's feelings? She has been so kind, taking the time to come here. But you don't appreciate her efforts at all," the secretary grumbled in a trembling voice.

Instead of answering, Julian kept his mouth shut. His jaw throbbed under the disappointment in his eyes. Why did Mia defend Katniss more than himself?

“Didn't you think about the consequences? You have disgraced your own father, Sir. Luckily, Miss Johnson could understand. Aren't you ashamed of this kind of childish attitude?"

With all his might, Julian held onto his patience. Turning his gaze in another direction, the man tried to calm his annoyance. He didn't want to get out of control and make things worse.
