"Jiang Baobao? What are you doing here?"
A surprised female voice came through, filled with confusion and disdain, and reached Jiang Baobao's ears.
Jiang Baobao looked at Lu Qinger, who stood before her dressed glamorously, and inwardly cursed, sensing trouble.
Weren't they supposed to not return until at least noon?
Why had Lu Qinger come back home early?
Jiang Baobao's gaze flickered for a moment, but she quickly composed herself and calmly said, "Grandma accidentally fell and hurt her leg, I am taking her to the hospital to check the injury."
"Hurt her leg?" Lu Qinger's tone was skeptical as she quickly glanced at Grandma Jiang.
Her parents had mentioned before not to let these two go out casually—who knew whether what Jiang Baobao was saying was true or false?
Disbelief was written all over Lu Qinger's face. Just as she was about to speak, she heard Jiang Baobao continue, "If there's nothing else, please make way, Grandma needs to go back and rest."
