Fear of the dark (Part 1)

I was on my way to the location of the generator with my Disciples and the girls not far behind when I got a heads up on my coms from Batman. "We are starting out attack on the watch tower now. Good luck."

I cracked a smile unknown to Batman before replying. "I'll be putting on quite the show after tonight's battle Batman. Just sit back in the watchtower after reclaiming it and enjoy the spectacle." 

Seeing the generator ahead I stopped in front of it, only to see thousands of flying Thanagarians surround me as they closed in on my location. They must have motion detectors or people nearby that notified them. It was hard to believe that the thousands of Thanagarians surrounding me couldn't be but half of their force at most considering I knew many if not most of them were already fighting the league at the watchtower. 

So much for distractions I guess. I couldn't imagine even with my power, fighting so many at once. As I floated in the sky, I looked below and saw a small town about a mile away from the generator in question. It begged the question on if Batman had evacuated them in the original work before dropping the watch tower on the generator that was very close by. Surely it was just not stated?

Using my ki sense, I felt the presence of many living people below and sighed. I should have checked this with my moonlight computer before leaving. I put too much faith in my knowledge of the original work due to script readers perfect recall. Sadly the recall was only perfect for the details stated in the show, it didn't show what happened in between what was seen on the screen. 

Sensing Supergirl's ki who was carrying Scream Queen in her arms and flying beside Cosmic Starlight as they all got closer, I spoke out loud addressing her. "Supergirl, change of plans, protect the civilians below with cosmic Starlight and Scream Queen. My Disciples will just have to have a bit more work. Until they arrive, I'll hold them off myself." 

With Supergirl's super hearing, I knew she had heard me, but because they were no longer coming to protect my back as I destroyed the generator, I needed to buy time until my Disciples arrived. After changing into Super Saiyan 2, I raised my hands above my head and started building Ki until It was the size of a baseball. 

Seeing the group that was now within a normal humans eye sight, I focused all my attention on the ki ball above and with my utmost concentration, I began to separate the ki into thousands of tiny specks. After that, I started sensing precise targets Ki Signatures and started targeting them with precision. I even took their individual speeds and trajectory into account as I predicted where they would be when the attack landed. 

Supergirl, Cosmic Starlight, and Scream Queen had just arrived in the town below and started to guard it as they looked up into the sky above. Just then, a loud shout cut through the silence of the night. "MOOOOOOON LITTTTTT RAIIIIIIIIIN!"

After the shout was heard, thousands of blue lights shot up into the sky and then disappeared. The Thanagarians who had almost stopped their attack in a slight moment of fear, couldn't help but laugh at themselves for even having the thought. One of the lead Thanagarian commanders shouted out. "IT WAS A BLUFF! CONTINUE THE ATTA-!" 

In the dark night sky, suddenly the blue lights that had disappeared above, had reappeared and were falling down toward earth with great speed and beauty, lighting up the sky temporarily with what first appeared to be a very silent, yet brutal rain. Each raindrop cut through any defensive armor and flesh of those who were hit and exited their body before the blue light hit the earth below with the 'pit pat' sound of rain before disappearing. 

"So pretty" Said Supergirl. The other two girls beside her could only nod their heads with their eyes fixed to the sky while people in the town had also witnessed this so called beauty and shuddered as they watched thousands of Thanagarians start to fall from the sky. 

Looking down at the result of my attack, I laughed loudly. There were still thousands of Thanagarians moving around in the sky, but all of those that were close enough to attack were now all wounded and on the ground. They hadn't been killed, but they all had at least a couple of holes each in their bodies and although they could easily heal from the damage, it would take a while. 

Thanagarians have a good healing factor, but my moonlit rain attack left traces in their bodies and lingered which not only caused them great agony, but it also prevented them from healing too quickly. They would likely be down for at least five minutes, which was all I needed. 

Raising my hands up again, this time I started building up a bigger ki ball above me. The Thanagarians who were still in the sky and could see the ball being made, quickened their pace. I could hear them shouting with fear in their voice. 

"DON'T LET HIM FINISH HIS ATTACK!" 

The Thanagarian's were able to move faster than I thought and within just a minute they were almost upon me. I still needed time to build more Ki though. It wasn't even big enough to start spinning yet. As I was worrying about what I should do, I sensed three Ki signatures that were moving at great speed towards my location. 

At this time I heard five of the same piano notes play in the air around me. Looking around, I could see the Thanagarians and the people below in the town could hear it as well. Soon after I heard Scream Queen Nina's singing voice cut through the sky as the air started to get colder around me and lightning began to flash in the night sky. 

The song Iron Maiden - fear of the dark, in a style similar to Minniva feat. Quentin Cornet could be heard as if speakers were all around us. It was the battle song I had chosen for my Disciples.

At this time everyone could start to see silhouettes of three creepy looking costumed beings in the sky each time the lightning flashed, only for them to disappear when it got dark again. All of the Thanagarians present constantly looked over their shoulder, the fear of being watched was strong. Many of them felt the presence of someone lurking near, but could not see anyone as the music continued.

The singing voice began to scream suddenly as the thunder from the lightning began to pound like drums. 

🎵♪🎶FEAR OF THE DARK! FEAR OF THE DARK!

The singing stopped and a guitar solo blasted in the ears of the Thanagarians and all around sending shivers down their spines before a lightning bolt brighter than all before cut through the sky and a thunderous boom was heard. When everyone looked in the direction of the lightning blast, Three sinister and creepy looking beings had appeared. 

"BOO!" said Scream with glee, before all three of them pulled out different knives, each of them also sporting a new golden ring on their middle finger made of Nth Metal as they hovered in the sky.
