A Perfect Night

Hyun-Tae was focused on his work while he was typing on his laptop. He leaned his head back on the seat, rubbing his temple. Hyun-Tae sighed and his gaze shifted on the wall clock. It was showing past half of eight. Hyun-Tae was about to leave the office when suddenly his mobile started ringing. He glanced at his phone. His eyebrows frowned as he looked at the caller. Hyun-Tae gritted his teeth before picking up the phone. “WHY DID YOU CALL ME? I TOLD YOU BEFORE NOT TO CONTACT ME AGAIN.” He yelled at the person who was on the other side, the person smirked.

Syanja sighed as she glanced at the wall clock. She smiled and turned off her laptop. She took her belongings before leaving the office. Syanja went to Jung-Hoon's office, knock on the door before entering the office. He smiled as his gaze met hers. “Are you done with your work?'' He asked sweetly. Syanja smiled before giving him an answer. “Yes, I am done. Are you done? She asked him with frowned eyes. He shook his head and sighed sadly. “Can I wait for you?” She asked, making him smile a little. Jung-Hoon sighed and shook his head. “It is already late, Syanja.” He said worriedly. Syanja smiled and stepped close to him. His heart started rapidly faster. Jung-Hoon gave him a “why” look as she stood closer to him. “You are so cute.” She said and pinched her cheek. “Are you teasing me right now, Syanja? You know, if I tease you, you won't be able to escape.” Jung-Hoon said with a smirk on his face, making her gulp. “Okay, I am leaving. I will take a cab.” Syanja said and Jung-Hoon nodded. “Are you sure? I can continue it again after dropping you at your house.” Syanja immediately shook her head, making him sigh. “Call me after you reach home safely.” Syanja smiled at Jung-Hoon's caring behaviour and left his office.

Hyun-Tae was driving to his house after meeting someone. His eyes landed on the familiar figure. His eyebrows frowned as he saw Syanja was standing in front of the car while the driver was checking the car. Hyun-Tae stopped the car next to her, catching her attention. Syanja looked at him confusedly but sighed in relief as she saw Hyun-Tae's face.

“Are you okay, Syanja? Hyun-Tae asked her being worried. He came closer to her and checked her head to toes. Hyun-Tae caressed her cheeks with his palms. “I am okay, Hyun-Tae.” She stated, which made him sigh. Hyun-Tae glanced at the diver and then at Syanja. “Why are you here at this time?” He asked her, confused. “Oh, I am going home by cab, but unfortunately the car is broken,” Syanja explained to Hyun-Tae. “Let’s go. I will drop you home. It is not good for you to stand here at this hour.” He said with a straight face. She nodded in order of agreement. Hyun-Tae smiled at her and both of them went to the car. After fixing their seatbelt, Hyun-Tae took a glance at her before starting the car. The entire ride was silent. No one uttered a word. “How is your work going with a new company?” He asked out of the blue, making her flinch a little at his sudden voice. “Everything is going smoothly.” She smiled as Syanja thought about Jung-Hoon. “What about Jung-Hoon? I was busy with work and that's why I couldn’t make time to meet him?” Syanja smiled and glanced at him. “He is doing fine. We are busy too these days because of our new projects.” Hyun-Tae nodded and continued driving.

After a few moments, Syanja reached her home. She went out of the car and greeted Hyun-Tae as he stepped out of the car. He smiled and hugged her, making her eyes widen. She smiled and hugged him back and patted him back. Hyun-Tae broke a hug and stared at her face. Syanja smiled and entered her house. He sighed and hopped his car and drove away. They didn’t know someone was taking their pictures. The person smirked and dialled a number, called his boss. “Boss, the work you gave me it's done.” He informed the person and sent him the pictures immediately before deleting them. Jung-Hoon sighed in relief as he was done with his work. He glanced at his watch before taking his car keys. Jung-Hoon checked his phone and there were few missed calls and messages. Jung-Hoon unlocked his phone and checked the messages. His eyes widened as he saw pictures of Hyun-Tae and Syanja hugging. His eyebrows frowned and left the office furiously.

Meanwhile, Syanja lay on her bed after freshening up. She sighed and took her mobile to call Jung-Hoon. A small smile appeared on her lips as she dialled Jung-Hoon’s number. After a few rings, he picked up her call. “Hey.” He smiled as he heard her sweet voice. Jung-Hoon fixed his phone on the tripod and video called her. Syanja smiled and gladly picked up the call. Jung-Hoon gulped as his eyes met with hers. “You are driving? I didn’t know it. I am sorry I will call you later.” She said while panicking and about to cut the call, but stopped as he spoke. “It is okay, Syanja. I can talk right now.” He smiled. She nodded at him. Syanja was admiring Jung-Hoon’s features with loving eyes, but interrupted by his words. “When did you reach home?” He asked out of the blue. “Oh, it's been an hour, maybe.” She smiled and Jung-Hoon nodded his head. “I was coming home by cab, but suddenly my cab broke. You know Hyun-Tae was going home, but stopped as he saw me alone and he dropped me. After that, he hugged me and left for his house.” She told him what happened to her, making him smile. “Are you okay?” Jung-Hoon asked and Syanja nodded her head immediately. After a moment, Jung-Hoon's eyes fall on Syanja’s sleeping figure. He shook his head before saying, “Syanja, I am happy that you told me the truth. You cleared the doubt.” He smiled and cut the care and after that, he entered his house as Jung-Hoon reached.

Hyun-Tae entered his house drunk. Ho-Jim was in the living room with their mother. Mrs. Vim's eyes widened as she saw her son on a drunken stage. Ho-Jim rushed to Hyun-Tae and grasped his waist. “Syanja, please don’t leave me.” He uttered, making them gasp. Mrs. Vim stared at both of them confusedly. Her eyes softened as she saw Hyun-Tae crying and whining like a baby who wanted his favourite thing. Ho-Jim made him lay on the bed and sighed. He took a last glance at his brother and left the room. Ho-Jim flinched a little as his mother came out of nowhere. “Who is Syanja?” She questioned him, making Ho-Jim gulp.
