Laiv Birmingham is an old man with a gloomy face who has not been touched by happiness during his life. Since his wife and child died, Laiv has continued to make himself like a robot who has absolutely no thought for his own health. Now at the age of fifty-three, Laiv looked so pale, his cheekbones protruded horribly because of his thin body. Her eyeballs, once brilliant green, had faded to a cloudy green from looking at the computer too much. Laiv's pale skin looked wrinkled here and there because of the effects of the hard drugs he had been consuming.
