Harmony

His eye looks at me, accusing me, before it lands behind me to the flames that now roars higher and angrier. /"That doesn’t seem like nothing./" My eyes follows his movements as he walks towards me but past me and stands beside the blazing flame, staring out at the dark night, at the blackened sea.

/"I know what you just did./" I turn around again to stare at his back. /"Why are you doing this?/"

I chuckle dryly at his question. /"I don’t think I owe you anything to answer your questions. If you’ll excuse me, I have to go./"

I take a step to the side to leave when his voice halts me. /"Do you think you’ll ever be happy if you leave like this?/"

I look down at my feet buried deep in the sand. /"Happiness is not written in my destiny. And it’s not like the goddess knows I exist anymore./" I whisper, my voice barely audible but I know he heard me loud and clear.
