Cassandra was silent as she looked around.

She was sitting in a position where she could only see Duke Salvador. The balcony was really a good place to hide from the palace's guards.

Cassandra looked at the Duke as she said in a low voice. "You should ask me?"

Duke Salvador smiled as he looked at the Princess who was afraid to be near him. It was the first time that he had seen someone like her.

All the other ladies were eager to throw themselves on him while Cassandra was the one trying to avoid him at every turn.

In the eyes of the Duke, the fifth Princess is the risk taker.

"The Princess is quite brave, giving me commands. Do you always keep yourself at risk?" Duke Salvador asked.

"It is not a risk. And even if it was, I don't think I have a choice." Cassandra said as she lowered her eyes and looked down.

A smirk arched on Duke's face as he looked at Cassandra. "Then the princess should tell me how she taught her lady in waiting to use her elements properly."

Cassandra's eyes shooked as she heard the words. She took a deep breath before she continued. "Amy has a power for Earth so it was obvious that she knows how to use it herself. Powerless princes like me would not know how to teach someone that."

"What the princess is telling is true but I do not believe it. I only believe what I see and I have seen that the princess was teaching her lady in waiting for something which I have never seen before."

"Yes," Cassandra said subconsciously but soon turned silent. Her eyes widened in shock. She did not want to respond to it. She did not understand what was supposed to be said.

"But Amy does have a low power," Cassandra argued as she looked at Duke Salvador, who was staring at her with sharp eyes.

Cassandra swallowed and she tried to back off subconsciously. "I know what she has." What I'm interested in is not that. The princesses lady in waiting has the least affiliation to the element considering her power she should only be able to lift a small number of rocks from the ground. That doesn't consist of mud, soil, and dirt off a person's dress. Only a high level of a mage can manipulate their elements in such a way and yet your lady in waiting could do that by simply following your instructions."

Duke Salvador's eyes glowed. He had heard Cassandra's words that day and to be honest Duke Salvador had tried to do it himself but he could not. No one knew what sort of power it hold as every element is different. All that was going under Duke Salvador's mind was that if he could make his soldier used to such power then even the weakest one could be as deadly as their strongest one. Duke wanted to know the reason why Cassandra knew so much about such things but the princess was not ready to talk which annoyed him.

"The princess should really tell me the truth now. I am not a patient man." Duke Salvador took a step forward making Cassandra a little uncomfortable. "I want to know how the princess knew the instructions."

Cassandra understood what Duke Salvador was doing. The man was not interested in her but the knowledge she held.

Cassandra sighed in relief when she thought that she might not be punished for such a thing.

"Where did I get such knowledge?" Cassandra asked in a low voice.

"Yes," Duke Salvador replied and he really wanted to know why the princess knew such things.

Cassandra was silent for a few seconds as she looked outside. Amy was standing there as a guide. Cassandra was afraid of someone coming in search of her if they knew that she was absent. Usually, no one paid attention to her but Cassandra knew that the Empress wanted to marry her off soon so her each and every step might be reported to the Empress directory and Cassandra wanted to avoid any suspicion.

Cassandra sighed. "I had read it in a book."

"A book?" Duke Salvador asked as he raised his eyebrows. "What sort of book was it?"

"I didn't know. It didn't have any name to it. It was an old book which I stumbled upon in the library for the first time but I did not know how to read it at first."

"You did not know how to read it?" Duke Salvador asked as he raised his eyebrows. He wanted to know how can a princess who was taught in the palace about basic education not know how to read it. Even though most of the Prince and Princesses were not directly considered for the line of the throne, they were still given the minimum education that was required just so that they would be married off for profit for the Empire. And Duke Salvador knows that.

"The book is not written in regular language," Cassandra said actually saw the red eyes of Duke Salvador getting darker by the second.

"Not in our language?" Duke Salvador's tone turned sharp. He did not understand what Cassandra was saying.

"I don't know how it came there, but the language is not in our empire's language," Cassandra explained.

"Then how was Princess able to read it?" Duke Salvador asked as he raised his eyebrows in question. Cassandra was silent as she did not dare to look at Duke.

"You do not know how to answer this question? How did you read the book?" But suddenly Duke Salvador took a step forward, annoyed by being ignored.

Even though none of his subordinates looked straight in the eyes when he asked them questions, Duke Salvador hated when they did not reply and Cassandra was doing the same.

For a second Aiden forgot that she was a Princess that was standing in front of her, not one of his soldiers. Just as he was going to touch her chin to make her look at him, Cassandra shivered before Aiden's hands could reach her.

Cassandra's eyes turned red as her heart trembled. Cassandra was afraid. She was afraid of Duke Salvador. The man could see it in her eyes. Aiden took a step back once he realized that what he was doing was against etiquette.

No matter how important things are for him he should take it slowly. The Princess was not like the others who would voluntarily give him information that he wanted just because they wanted to gain his favor.

Duke Salvador now acknowledged that there may be such a Princess who really is the unfavorable one who doesn't know when to move forward and when to retrieve.

'Maybe that is why she refused to answer me.'

'Maybe the fifth princess doesn't know that I am the most dangerous person she should be afraid of.'

Duke Salvador took a few deep breaths as he tried to control his inner thoughts. He knew that nothing good would come if he did not give Princess Cassandra a chance to explain herself.

The only thing that was remaining for him was to have patience and move slowly towards the goal that he wanted to achieve. He needed information and Aiden knew how to get it from the Princess slowly.
