Second Encounter

Lathifa smiled, looking at Satya as they ate dinner which consisted of grilled Tawes fish, shrimps, and crabs which were also grilled. They sat in the kitchen, in front of the steel plate that covered the entrance to the basement, which they now used as a place to grill their food.

A coconut oil lamp was between them, a simple light for both of them that night.

Satya frowned, more than three times he had seen the girl's gaze on him, also with a thin but very sweet smile.

"What?" asked Satya who was curious about what the girl was thinking.

Latifa shook her head slightly.

"You're so weird," Satya let out a long sigh. "Looking at me while smiling like that. You make me uncomfortable, you know that?"

Latifa giggled. "Nothing."

"So?"

"I'm just amazed."

"Amazed?"

Latifa nodded. "You turned out to be reliable."

"Huh?" Satya frowned again.

"This food."
