Chapter 3

"BABY? Always remember not to let Nani Lesley see you drinking blood, okay?" I reminded my son.

He was into drinking blood, but he still eats food that the people normally eat.

"Yes, Mommy! I didn't even let her see me running so fast!" he said actively while taking a sip in the bottle of blood.

"Good boy. Finish that because your Nani will be here any minute now."

I fixed myself and my things while my son was sitting in the bed drinking blood. I never became afraid of my son, but I do afraid about his situation. Even that I am used to him drinking blood, I am still afraid that he may have an illness—a serious one. I hope my assumptions are all wrong.

Minutes had passed, Nani Lesley arrived and I again left Tristan to her.

I manage to arrive in school earlier than yesterday. As I walked to the school's hallway, I saw several students doing random things.

"Good morning! You were early today, are you that excited to go to school?" Rose suddenly appeared beside me while I was walking.

"What's going on?" I asked back.

"Well, the upcoming welcome event to students will be tonight! I'm excited!"

"Tonight?! Does everybody required to attend on that event?" I asked again

"Of course! And I have good news to you! Mr. Razen was here! He must be in the Dean's office right now. There is no class today because of the upcoming event. It's your chance to approach Mr. Razen!"

What she had said was really good news, but I can't attend tonight's event because my son would be alone in our apartment!

"Is there something bothers you? Or should I help you approach Mr. Razen?" Rose asked.

"How long will the event end?"

"From six o'clock to nine o'clock, I guess."

"Okay. I'm going to find Mr. Razen and make him signed the contract. I'll see you later." I didn't let her speak and immediately left her in the hallway. I walked fast to the Dean's office.

I need to finish this task and call Nani Lesley. I cannot just leave my son during night time because he was more active during night time than daytime, but if I was with him, he can easily fall asleep.

I arrived in the Dean's office and was about to knock the door, but it suddenly opened. A man appeared in front of me.

He was wearing a formal attire—a blue polo t-shirt and a black jeans. His deep gray eyes were seriously looking at me. I blink three times as I looked at his pretty face.

"Is there anything I can help you?" he asked with a quiet gentle voice.

I dumbfounded as I heard his calm voice.

"Miss?"

I immediately fix my gaze and aura.

"I'm sorry. I just want to ask for Mr. Razen. I wanted him to sign a contract," I finally said without directly looking at his face.

"I see. I am Sebastian Razen, you must be the scholar who was assigned to give me the contract for this year."

I immediately nodded and handed him the contract.

"I really want to sign that right away, but I still need some things to do right now. I need to find my secretary to tour me in the school."

"If you will sign the contract now, I will find your secretary right away!" I certainly said.

I heard him chuckled.

"I will really sign that, you don't have to worry."

"Then sign it now, Mr. Razen. I really need to finish this task today. Please!" I even bowed in front of him.

"Okay. No problem."

"THERE are really a lot of changes here. It was a good change though," Mr. Razen said as he walks in the hallway. The entire students' gaze was on him. He was not bothered at all, but I am.

He did sign the contract, but for exchange, he wanted me to tour him around the university. And here I am now.

"Why are you quiet? You should be talking to the school's details or changes," he said again.

"I already told you that I am a bad tour guide. I am just a new student and I didn't have much information about this school. I am just about to discover its details."

"That's good, but you are really different. If other girls were in your position, they would definitely talk more."

He seems good, but I'm really not into strangers.

"Something's seems bothering you."

"I'm thinking about how I can escape on tonight's event," I immediately uttered.

"You can go home early if you could immediately sign the attendance sheet when the event started."

"Who was assigned to that attendance sheet?" I immediately asked and looked at him. I saw him looking at me too.

"I was assigned for that," he answered.

"Then can I sign it first?"

"Why would you want to go home that early?"

"I have a son and I can't just leave him alone during night time," I said.

I won't hide my son and me being a single mom. If I can tell the world that I have my cute and handsome little son, I will really do that.

"You have a son?" he asked surprised.

"I am a single mother and I would never deny that. Can you consider that a valid reason for me to go home early?"

We arrived at the school's field—a big oval field full of bermuda grass where sports like soccer usually occurs.

"That would not be a problem. Find me before or when the event starts then I'll let you sign the attendance first," he said with a smile.

My heart almost jumps because of his smile and gentle voice. He was really kind and nice.

"Mr. Razen, I was searching for you everywhere. I'm glad that I finally found you!"

A muscular man suddenly appeared beside me and he was really gasping. He was also wearing formal attire—more formal than Mr. Razen.

"Based on your uniform, you must be a student here. Thank you for accompanying Mr. Razen," he said to me.

"He is Allan, my secretary," Mr. Razen said. I just nodded.

"Then I will leave you now. Enjoy your day here, Mr. Razen," I said and walked away.

"See you later!" He shouted those words. I didn't look back and just wave my hand up and continue walking.

"HOW was it?" Rose immediately asked as I entered our classroom.

"He signed it and I already gave it to the Dean."

Rose screamed and hugged me.

"I'm so proud of you! You really did it!"

She let me go.

"Come on! Let's eat lunch, and then I'll show you the event's details and preparations."

And again, she dragged me to the school's cafeteria.

Hours later, I manage to help Rose in some arrangements. All of the students were preparing so the preparation really went well.

Before the event started, I also manage to find Mr. Razen who was sitting in the stage. Since the people around him were busy, I immediately approach him.

"If you need anything more, I would be glad to help you," he said while I was signing the attendance sheet.

"Are you pitying me for being a single mother?" I asked and handed him back the attendance sheet.

"I am not. I am just offering my help in case you need it."

"Thank you. I really appreciate it. I'll go now." I must not lose my respect because he is our scholarship sponsor. But I am not used to talk friendly to people I just met.

I went down from the stage without anyone noticing and immediately went to Rose's side.

I already called Nani Lesley that I may arrive home late and she said that she is willing to take care of Tristan until I come home. I thanked her a lot.

"The event is going to start now!"

Everyone turned their gaze into the stage as the speaker started to speak. This event is for welcoming the new students, this usually happens every year. Aside from that, they will also discuss important details related to school and after that, the students preparation will enter. Students prepared several things including the dinner, the party, and they even prepared alcohol drinks. Everything that they prepared is required and not be considered as illegal.

The students and staffs are starting to sit on the chairs that were assigned to them. I also followed Rose and sit next to her. The chairs are aligned according to level and course. All students in this university are all college and already reach their legal age.

"Thank you for being here! To begin this event, I wanted to first introduce you our school's administrations and staffs especially our sponsors and the one and only owner of this university," the speaker said. He started to introduce the big people who are part of the school.

"Our only scholarship sponsor! Mr. Sebastian Razen!"

A lot of female student screamed as Mr. Razen stand and wave to the audience. Rose also screamed and I didn't.

"And of course, the owner of our school! Mr. Vladimir Dawn!"

I freeze as I saw a man stand and walked in front of the stage. He was wearing an office attire. His hair was messy and his eyes—it was familiar.
