THE PERSONAL ASSISTANT

Staring at her, Xavier was still thinking what to say. He was like

  " Um... Cara, my Boss wants to see you. " She was shocked about the news and replied in return

   " So the girl is me? why would he want to see me? And who is he? "

Xavier sighed and kept quiet for a while then spoke

   " You will know once you meet him... I even don't know why he wants to see you but, he just wants to see you. Who knows? He can give you a higher position in the government or something bigger" Cara smirked making the corner of her lips to twitch. She then asked

   " Are you telling me to be his puppet?" Before Xavier answered she asked again

  " by any chance, are you his puppet too?" He only sighed and stepped closer to her, he put his arms on her shoulders to assure her of what he shall say.

  " Cara... trust me, I know what I'm telling you. My Boss will only talk to you...he won't do anything bad" He held her firmly and spoke

   " Just this one time." Cara nodded to indicate her approval. She agreed knowing that Xavier's Boss can be Mr Hutchinson. She wanted to meet him and kill him... just this time, for Nathaniel, for her soul and for the grudge against him for so long.

   Xavier spoke again " We are going now! I hope you will be humble". Cara was so amazed, why did Xavier spoke so humbly?

' His Boss must be powerful. ' she thought and finally replied

  " Okay... I'll be there in a minute. You can wait for me inside your room."

  " Sure."

" Um.. Xavier, can I ask you something if you don't mind?"

   " What is it?"

   " Is there another passageway to the underground chamber?"

  Xavier knew directly that Cara asked because His Boss must have entered through another door. He finally replied

   " I'll be waiting for you inside my room." Cara knew directly that, maybe it's because he didn't want to talk about it. She took a gun with her and hid it well in her navy blue sweatpant. She went to Xavier's room and  she headed to the underground chamber alone as directed by Mr Hutchinson.

    Her heart was restless, she was going to meet the man who destroyed her life completely, the man who killed her first love. Reaching there, she walked boldly yet nervous inside. No one was around, she  walked slowly towards the table in front of her. There was a note on the table and a remote on it. The note was written

   I had a sudden meeting so I left a voice message for you. Press the button Lady.

She took the note and clenched her fists, feeling defeated. Mr Hutchinson was not there and She had the urge to kill him...she took the remote and pressed the button. Mr Hutchinson's voice was heard

   " I really don't know you Young lady and I don't feel like knowing you. I saw you at the party being carried by Jax and... Seems like you have an effect on Xavier.  Xavier has a lady to marry... I won't ask you to stay away from him, but you should know... Your life is more important than love."

  As she heard his voice, tears trickled down her cheeks while a flash of memories kept appearing in her mind. Cara screamed at the memory of being raped, she took out her gun and started firing recklessly.

    She lost her strength and sat down still crying and while she was crying on the floor...she spotted something under the table. She took a small piece of paper that was on the floor. Looks like it had fallen down, she read it

Erica Thompson

   Manilla Airport

   13pm.

    M2V PILLS.

  Cara's eyes widened when she saw the words ' M2V pills' she kept looking at the information thinking about it's meaning. She hid her gun and that small paper then texted Xavier to open the door. She finally got out of the underground chamber and pretended to be okay. She then spoke to Xavier

   " It's nothing serious...he just wants to know me."

   " Ooh really?"

Cara nodded and spoke again

  "  He was interested to know me after seeing me with Jax." She paused then continued

  "By the way... You need to explain to me, why do you keep kissing me?"

" And I should ask you...why do you respond to it every time?''

Cara's eyes blinked several times and she finally got something to say

" Do you like me?"

  " Wh...wh.. what did you say? That can never happen. Stop asking me such questions Cara.." he continued

  " Before I forget... Becca and Bella are waiting for you now and, I decided to make you my personal assistant."  Cara gasped

  " Me? Your personal assistant?"

Xavier shrugged while replying

  " Why not? You already know too much about me and...we are close than what I expected"

Before Cara answered Xavier was already talking

  " Okay... the kids will stay there for three months, when they return Ivy will look after them. And---"

  " What again?"

  " I just can't resist being closer to you...there is something About you that---" Xavier spoke with passionate eyes and Cara knew where it will take them. She replied

  " Cut the crap Xavier, if being your PA is satisfactory then... I'll do it. Let me go now." She spoke and got out of his room. After like five hours, Cara got back in her room...her mind was still thinking about the information she had seen. Who is Erica Thompson?  She took her phone and called Jax

   " Hi handsome"

   " Perfect timing baby girl... you miss me?"

   " Kinda"

  " Ouch .. that was so rude" I smiled and spoke

   " Are you free King?"

  " Wanna meet up?"

   " Mmmh... let's meet at City Dreams Hotel and have a drink."

   " I'll pick you up... around 7:30pm baby"

   "Sure...see you then" Cara hanged up and when the time reached she started dressing up. A short lace gown black in color... Maroon stiletto high heels and a simple make up. She went on a date with him without Xavier knowing, all she wanted was to ask Jax for help.

     She wanted him to find out who is Erica Thompson and the rest of it. She enjoyed her dinner with Jax and he returned her home. 

     Xavier didn't notice anything and she thanked God for it. After one hour, Jax called her

  " Hi cute... I got what you wanted"

   She took her notebook and started writing quickly what Jax was saying

   " Uum... Erica Thompson, she is 48 and lives in the US, she is a scientist...." He spoke all the details and finally added

   " She is coming to the Philippines tomorrow around 13pm and before I forget... In 1998 she delivered her first child but unfortunately, the kid was kidnapped by unknown people till date."

   " Thank you Jax...I owe you King."

   " Don't worry... you got me fine lady, Goodnight" he hanged up. Cara started thinking

     ' she is a scientist... That means, she is the only one who knows how to make the M2V pills. Tomorrow she will be in the Philippines...why!? I think Mr Hutchinson knows that she will land tomorrow. I must meet her at the airport before anyone else

Only her can make me stop this world to face destruction.... only her technology.' she sighed then threw herself on the bed.  She heard someone knocking at the door. She replied

" Come in" it was Mr Xavier again. He closed the door behind and walked to where Cara was. He sat beside her and she sat upright and asked

    " What is it again?"

    " Uum... Have you prepared yourself for tomorrow?"

      " As your PA?.…" Xavier nodded and she spoke

     " Not yet... maybe the day after tomorrow"

   " Okay if that pleases you. You can come with me to the company, I will just show you around and teach you what to do."

  Cara rolled her eyes " whatever "

    " Don't be upset... We will only be together up to 12pm" Cara's mind woke up and she doubted that Xavier knows something about Erica. She quickly asked

  " Where are you going after that?"

   " I have to meet up with Ivy." There's one thing about Xavier that Cara has noticed recently. He always plays with his fingers when he is lying. She knew that it was a lie, he is going to meet Erica. Cara spoke in return

   " I guess... I'll be busy too. My friend is coming to the Philippines tomorrow around noon Time. I just thought we could hang out" she spoke intentionally to see his reactions. He suddenly shouted

    " No you can't be there Cara!? You hear me? You can't be there."

   Her eyebrows furrowed and she was like

  " And why's that?" Xavier pulled her for a hug and patted her back while speaking

  " I don't wanna loose you"

While Cara continued enjoying the embrace, the door of her room was opened and Tessa entered. Cara was the one facing the door so, she saw Tessa gasping. She pushed Xavier quickly and spoke

 . " Tessa it's not what you are thinking" finally Xavier knew that someone else saw them. His eyes widened up with fear while Tessa just replied

   " Am sorry for interrupting your moment Boss. Have fun sir... enjoy!" She closed the door leaving Cara and Xavier hanging in their explanations.
