Capture That Feeling

With the never-ending holiday party at home, no one will miss her if she takes the same flight with that tall boy, right? All she has to do is get on the plane, never mind if the plane will bring her from Oslo to China! --------- "Would you like to come into my room, join me with some drinks and hear what I want?" she drunkenly said it at that time. "Don't worry, I don't mean any harm," she said assuring the man before she dropped herself to the couch. "Are you traveling alone? Don't you have any adult companion with you?" he carefully asked as he stood in front of Ellise. "Hey, mister, you must have difficulty understanding, I already said, I'm alone, right?" she answered back. "You're clearly too young to be drinking alone in a hotel room, in a country where you don't know anybody and on top of that you invited a stranger in your room," he said with concern. "Why, you're also too young to be having an affair with a married woman, meet her in a hotel away from the city in the middle of the night. How old are you, anyway?" she sarcastically answered back, avoiding the issue of inviting a stranger. "I'm twenty, and I'm not having an affair with a married woman," he answered with a straight face. "If you're not having an affair why the two of you clearly look like you're hiding," she said, not planning to lost an answer and question interrogation "Listen, little girl. You better stop drinking because you're already drunk with all of these expensive wines," he said in annoyance. "You see, I have a credit card that has no limit, paying for all of my expenses here. I've been here in Shanghai since the first week of January, and today is my birthday. It's almost two months already, but nobody has come or asked from my family if I'm okay." she said in a broken voice. ---- Book Cover by: Sendaline_16

Big Brother

"Ge!" a tiny girl in a pink dress with pigtails, came running as soon he entered the door.

"No running, Ai," she said, following the little girl called Ai.

"How are you, my love?" DT bent over to pick up the little girl that already has her small arms stretch waiting to be picked up.

She starts making incoherent words while flapping her arms trying to tell him something.

DT grins and listens attentively to every word she is saying even though he doesn't understand any of it.

"She went to the zoo and fed the bunnies." the nanny translated the story for him.

"Ai, let Amah help you wash up and change clothes."

She vigorously shakes her head in protest, pouting, and throwing her mother pitiful looks.

"Listen to your Mom, I'll play with you later. I need to talk to your mother about something." DT said, patting Ai to stop any possible tantrum.

When Ai went to her Amah, Asya gestured to DT to follow her to the study room. When the door closed, she said, "Took you long enough to come for a talk."

He didn't say anything and just walked towards the middle of the room.

"We will have Ai's birthday party this weekend. Can you come?"

"I could probably get out after the practice. We have extensive training because of the changes in our team."

"I heard Grand will be leading the other team of WIZ. Will you be fine without your main defender?"

"I will be difficult only because I'm used to Grand as teammates, that's why we are having longer hours of training now for the new members of my team. Other than that, all is good."

"Hmm, will Wan's new recruit be a part of your team or Grand?"

"With Grand."

He walked to the wall in Asya's home office where photos of Ai mostly covered the wall. He smiled seeing half of those pictures have him.

"I'm here to talk about the agreement we had before," he said, looking at his photo wearing a hospital gown holding a newborn Ai.

Asya took a deep breath and sat down on her office chair.

"Are you dating now?" she asked him.

"No. But I want to clear things out."

"DT, just like WIZ, SH is also under a lot of changes. He is under pressure from his wife and the company. We can't afford to have a scandal now." she said whining.

He walked and dropped himself to the armchair across her desk.

"Those problems are between you two. I'm here to take care of our issue."

Panic crossed Asya's face and in a trembling voice said, "Ai will have her birthday...S-she's too young to be..."

She looked up at DT with tears glistening at the corner of her eyes.

"If she's a bit older I could take her out of the country, but I can't trust her with anybody."

DT seeing the frantic Asya in front of him, his resolution gone soft.

"Ai is not going to be involved. I -- I mean, us just have to be clear."

He cleared his throat, squirming on his seat.

"DT I can never thank you enough for what you did for me and Ai."

DT sits quietly on the sofa staring at the photo wall. Those pictures hold the past years of his life, and looking at those pictures he can't totally say that he regretted his decision.

"You can date and have a girlfriend, I'm not going to be a problem or Ai. I promised. I only asked you to keep the... I mean, my priority is Ai." she said, in a small voice.

An awkward silence ensued in the room.

"I also don't want Ai to be involved." he said with conviction.

Asya sighed in relief. She knew that time would come when DT would come to her with this talk, but she was caught surprised since she didn't hear anything about DT being interested with any other girl.

"Do I know the girl?" she asked.

"I'm not dating." he simply said.

Asya knitted her eyebrows, why DT is clearing things up with her when there is no other woman involved, she thought.

" Is it possible not to open the issue about Ai, yet?" she asked, trying to get a read of the situation.

"No. This has been dragged long enough." he said in a stern voice.

Asya panicked for real this time, but she kept her face neutral. She needs DT to agree on her if she wants things to go her way. Two years are long enough, but she never thought that she had to be in this situation for this long.

"Just let me know what I can do." she said with a small smile.

Looking at DT slouching on the chair, she can see that he got taller, and becoming more and more handsome. No wonder he has a huge number of fan girls on CTF circle. And as he grew older it became more difficult to control him. Unlike before when he would look up at her with puppy love on his eyes.

A sigh escaped her lips, which made him turn in her direction.

"Talk about Ai would probably come out later. It would probably not going to happen soon, but -- I just want everything to be clear." he said as he stood up.

"I'll check Ai, before I go." he said, closing the door of her home office.

She picked up the phone and dialed the direct line at her company. When it was picked up, she hissed on the phone, "DT wanted out of the agreement! You better think of a solution sooner!"

She didn't wait for the man on the other line to say anything before she dropped the call.

She picked up a paper holder on her table and hurled it across the room.

"Fuck!", she muttered under her breath.

Meanwhile, DT was softly knocking on the nursery room. When he didn't hear a reply he pushed the door slowly and saw Ai's nanny with her finger on her lips.

He let himself inside without making any sounds.

Walked over the pink crib at the corner of the room half full of stuffed animals.

Ai is sleeping with a small giraffe gripped tightly in her small hand.

He gave Amah a smile and whispered, "I'll just say goodnight."

The nanny returned his smile and nodded.

DT bent over the crib and dropped a soft kiss on the child curls trying not to wake her up.

When he straightened up from the crib, the nanny was already waiting for him on the door of the nursery.

"You no longer sleep together with Ai?" he asked in a whisper.

The nanny closed the door behind them before she answered.

"I sleep next door. Miss Asya wanted Ai to be able to sleep on her own."

"Isn't she too young for that?" he asked with furrowed eyebrows.

Amah just keep quiet, but thinking this young man is too good for this household. She felt pity for this young man on what she heard behind closed doors of this house.

"Amah, can I call you directly if I want to talk or see Ai?"

Amah was surprised with the sudden question, but before she could say anything Miss Asya, came out of her study. She has no time to think but just nodded.

"Goodnight." she bowed, and quickly went back to the nursery room.

"Are you going home? Would you like to join me for a drink?

She heard Miss Asya asked DT, before she entered the nursery.

"Sorry, but we are not allowed to drink." he said in a flat voice.

"Come on, don't be like that!" she said pouting.

DT looked down at Asya who's clearly drunk. He wondered how much did she drink to be this drunk in such a short period of time.

"Goodnight Asya. See you at the competition."

Surprise crossed her pretty face. She couldn't say any words, just gaping at DT who is walking out of her house.

"DT! DT!" he heard her calling his name when he was outside of the gate. He pretended not to hear anything.

Luck must be on his side that night, because a taxi is dropping off a passenger at the next house. He quickly gets in the taxi as soon as the passenger gets off.
