Davian had put a lot of effort into making breakfast, he stood next to Lake who was propped up on the bed by his pillows, the tray placed on his legs.
"Won't you eat?" Lake asked with concern as he reached right for the mug of steaming hot chocolate.
The rest of the food didn't look radioactive, and it smelled good too, that was two points out of three.
"Later," Davian said without hiding his impatience.
Lake took a careful sip of the hot drink, his eyes sparkling like sun-warmed honey. "It's delicious."
"You sound surprised," Davian said dryly, his chest puffed out despite his words.
"Sit down," Lake patted the edge of the bed.
Breakfast was simple, eggs, toast, bacon, and the hot chocolate he had asked for.
The eggs were so nice that he looked up at Davian with a mouth full of food, his eyes bright but unable to verbally communicate how good it was at that moment.
