CHAPTER 2:MAX'S P.O.V

We walked into the club some minutes to eight.I went and sat at a corner with Jace.

"Don't be such a killjoy man,"he went on like a ten-year-old."Come on, let's dance to some music,"He dragged me to the dance floor but I declined and went back to the corner.I watched while drinking my martini then I saw some two girls coming in.One was all jumpy but her friend,her friend was calm and reserved.The second girl went over to the counter and ordered a drink while her friend disappeared to God knows where.I was watching her for a while as she drank shots of tequila after tequila after tequila qirhp getting drunk.I signalled to the barman and told him to get the girl a glass of wild ginger ale.He nodded and went back to the counter.He gave her the drink alright.She started moving,I think she was looking for her friend.I saved her from stumbling on the floor.She passed out on me so I carried her back to the penthouse.I was about to go when she held me back and pulled me to her.I fell on her chest and before I knew it,I was kissing her then we were making out.I collapsed on the bed next to her and looked at her for the first time.She was beautiful but guilt flooded me.I wrote her a four-million dollar cheque,packed up my stuff and left the country,going back home.
