Bittersweet Beginning v.2

"Living means understanding oneself—fully." As I began my footsteps in becoming a freshman in a university, this quotation rings at the back of my mind, like a broken tape playing the same song again and again. What does it take to understand oneself? Do you need to..

I was caught again by raindrops falling making my heart melt—truly. I stopped doing what I'm supposed to be doing when the front door of the café rings simultaneously. I watched the group of 4 individuals walked in in a catwalk manner. I was mesmerized by their Athena-ish beauty, like a fallen angel sent by God to rule mankind.

"Wait, stop!" I told to myself as I began, again, to be mesmerized by girls.

I always thought my goofy heart to beat only in a guy, to my one and only. But why on earth I felt this way? Whenever I went to a café, garden or mall, I always caught off guard by women's beauty. I don't know why maybe it is normal? or just a phase?

As I continue asking myself random questions, I didn't realize that they're gone. I felt my heart sunk in my sugary blood. Upon that, I continued working in my little world.

"What a tiring day!" I said to myself out loud making the people around the cafeteria glanced at me with an annoyed look. "I'm so doomed, hmp" and with that, I went out and ran after what happened.

I stroll around the city where I'm currently living in. "I can't believe Mom and I moved here!" I squealed excitedly as I passed by tall buildings. As I take my time walking while playing on my earphones my all-time fave music of Bebe Rexha, I only found out that I'm lost. Literally, I AM LOST! Oh shucks, I need to call Mom, asap.

*dialing*

Mom: Hey Aury, what took you so long? You need to go home early for your first day tomorrow.

Me: Mom, I have a problem, I think I'm lost.

Mom: Gosh Aury! That's all? Okay okay, tell me where you are and I'll fetch you, okay sweetie?

Me: Yes mom, I'll take a picture of where I am and I'll send it after I hung up, okay?

Mom: Yeah, sure honey. Love you!

Me: Love you too mom!

After I hung up, I took a picture of my current place wherein many people gather around. I'm currently walking until there is this glamorous building caught my attention. I entered without knowing what will happen to me and to my luck, it is a bar! Yes, a bar, not just a common bar but also a fabulous one. With its modern style with playful color. It is a bar for teenagers.

"Must place to visit when I feel fortuitous." I mentally said while listing it down to my so-called "mental bucket list". I went to the center wherein I can order a cocktail.

"May I have a glass of Devil's shot please?" I said to the waitress. 3 minutes passed and my drink was still not served. The person sitting next to me seems to understand what's going on that's the time she buts in.

"Hey there gorg, new here huh?" she whispers then she called out the waitress.

"Maeve, come over here." Then the waitress with a smokey look make up approaches with its dazzling ear piercings.

"Uhhm, eerr, what's your name gorg?" she asked me as if she knows me in a long time.

"Uhhm, Aurelia" was my only answer.

"My friend, Aurelia, wants a glass of Devil's sho-" she's not even finished when the smokey girl disappeared,

"Woah, that was quick," I told her only to find out that she was one of those 4 individuals who came to the café a while ago. As I scanned her look, she is a goddess. A goddess who will drain your energy 'till you're left with none. I'm mesmerized by her beauty. A wavy brunette colored hair, heart-shaped face straight from Elle Magazine. Big brown eyes that were accentuated with her long eyelashes and perfectly thread eyebrows. Small pointy nose and perfectly crafted pink lips that look more kissable because of the lights. I was disturbed by my daydream when the goddess in front of me spoke with an angelic voice,

"Did you know that it is rude to stare at someone?" and with that, I felt my cheeks turned to bright red. She added "Cat got your tongue, Aurelia? Haven't seen someone as beautiful as myself, have you?

I can't take it anymore, I went straight out of the front door and ran like a cheetah trying to catch its prey. Someone shouted inside. "Hey Aury, you forgot to pay!" with that cue, I went back inside, gets a bill inside my pocket without knowing how much, drank all of the Devil's shot, turns back to the goddess, no, a person who helped me earlier. She spoke, "Hey gorg, I'm Sloane, in case you want to know." And I stand still like a statue waiting for my muscles to function properly again. Only to find out Sloane gives me a piece of paper. I ran again outside for the second time not caring if someone will call out my nickname again.

"What was that Aury? You stupid piece of crap!" I'm not yet done with my self-scolding when Mom plays in action.

"Hey sweetie, over here!" she shouted at the other side of the road and went there as if nothing happened.
