Looking into space and wondering what the hell was missing in his life. Alex couldn't help but feel defeated, each time he tried to figure out what the problem could be, it always ended on the same note - emptiness and unanswered questions.
"You can't keeping using girls and discarding them the next minute like a piece of clothing. They're human you know. Fragile beings with feeble emotions." Damien his best and closest friend scolded him.
"We have the right to live our lives everyday and in between" Alex replied as he gulps down a cup of wine.
Alex could be best described as the ladies man; parting, clubbing, touring and of cause a renowned womaniser.
He couldn't understand the void instilled in him. He always felt empty and shallow even whist having it all; there was always this colossal hole in his heart no matter what he did, it never fade away.
In the quest to try to fill this void had him indulging in frivolous and flamboyant lifestyle hoping to fill the emptiness inside his heart. But no matter how much he spent or how many women he had, the void vehemently refused to close up. It's as if a part of him exist outside of his body.
On the other hand, Damien couldn't just figure his friend out; what really does he want? Alex always talked about trying to find happiness. What other happiness was there to be found when he's already experienced it all; money, women, exotic foods, traveling around the world and of cause everything in between.
"That girl is a renowned Actress and from a good family, how could you treat her like that?" Damien says almost yelling. Aside Alex's parents he was the only other person that could raise his voice at him without fear of an impending consequence.
Though so many ladies throw themselves at Alex, he's refused to settle with any. In fact, as long as he could remember Alex have never had a girl friend. He just uses girls then discards them the next minute.
"I don't care" Alex replied unapologetic of his actions and in actions.
Truthful, he didn't care about the consequences of his actions nor to whom was at the receiving end.
He continued to sip his wine, oblivious of the scorn on his friend's visage.
