Chapter 34

“It has to be more than that. Mischief’s food is expensive.” Jamie looked appalled.

“Okay, so I low-balled a bit, give me thirty-five that includes the food and treats, pancake, eggs, bacon, and potatoes which is all you’ve really eaten. You drink mostly water. The one or two beers you’ve had, consider a gift.” Jamie blushed, remembering the night that Bull kissed his shoulders. He’d had a beer again last night which was why he was going to stay away from beer for the foreseeable future.

“Are you ready to go?” Bull asked Jamie.

Jamie nodded his head and they armed the security system, locked the door, and went to the car. On the way to work Jamie was surprised to hear Bull whistling off-key.
