[Arnold POV]

I walked into the police station, where Jen was being questioned about how she got kidnapped. A small bribe later, I managed to get inside the room.

"Jen, I came as soon as I heard! Are you alright?" I asked, pretending to be worried.

"I-I'm fine Arnold, thanks for asking. But, how did you get to know?" she questioned.

I answered, with heavy grief in my voice "I know the Commissioner around here. He told me about you being here and saying that you'd been kidnapped. I'm sorry for getting you wrapped up in all of this."

Jen answered "It's not your fault, Arnold. I should've been more careful as well. They just wanted the money… and I also heard them say that you were the real target. They wanted to use me as bait. If I hadn't been saved back then… Both of us… probably would have died. I'm… I almost got you… killed too." Saying this, she broke down into tears.

'Well this is a fine mess. I'm really not built for this emotional stuff.' I thought to myself as I tried to hug her and get her to calm down.

After a while, I asked her "So, do you want to go somewhere else?"

She answers "Yes, I'd just like to go home."

I say "All right I'll get it done, just wait here. I've got some phone calls to make."

After this, I begin to dial up anybody I can remember with enough authority to get Jen out of there. Eventually, I made a 'higher up' with a daughter who is my fan, and he agreed to let Jen go, in exchange for an autograph and a cool half a million dollars in cash. Ah, corruption. Never change.

Well long story short, both of us got back to Metropolis and I dropped her off at her home, an apartment in the central part of Metropolis, which is actually considered pretty safe due to a certain alien flying around everywhere. Not safe enough, as we saw just recently.

Anyways, I couldn't just leave her alone immediately after she went through such a scenario. So I stayed with her for a few hours. I cooked both of us some pasta, accompanied by some wine that was at her house, we both played a bit of UNO to get her mind off the incident and then I put her to sleep. By the time I left her house, it had already been 14 hours since I had been teleported to Metropolis.

'I should prepare, just in case something happens' I thought to myself. If there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that Kara Zor-El will be followed by aliens. I don't know whether it'll be Darkseid again, or Brainiac, or any other psychopathic son of a bitch, but I know for sure that it'll become my problem eventually, especially now that I've gotten involved with this mess. With this line of thinking, I called out to El.

I also checked my bank account, and found about $200 million currently available for me to use. I then open the shop, and begin searching for anything I find useful in future battles.

[

Playful Cloud - $50 million.

]

'Don't mind if I do.' I thought to myself. If it can kill Dagon, it can hurt anything else I find unpleasant. Plus, could you imagine what would happen if Superman used something like this against an enemy? It would probably be like taking a nuke to the face.

Anyways, I should move on. I really want to purchase a cursed technique, but all of the good ones cost about $500 million. And I have nowhere near enough money to buy anything like that. I could buy some, but I've invested all my money into stocks and business. Making music can make you rich, but the real money can only be earned by doing the boring stuff. But what can I do about it?

As I endlessly scroll through the store, I see a rather interesting ability at a rather cheap price.

[

Hakari Kinji's Cursed technique «Private Pure Love Train» - $100 million.

]

Seeing this, I immediately go 'Fuck YES! Add to cart! We playing ourselves some 'tuca donka' with this one boys! Holy hell, this is gonna be fun.'

Hakari is the one character that might be more broken than Gojo. And although I still have Reverse Cursed technique, being immortal for 4 minutes and change isn't something I'll ever dislike. With that in mind, I buy myself a severe gambling addiction.

Anyways, after that little shopping spree I go back to visit Jen at her house again, make the both of us some dinner and send her off to sleep again. I then properly dress up, putting on my costume,suit and all as I teleport to the top of Daily Planet.

I take a quick nap while sitting down, till the appointed time after which, I'm teleported right back into the fortress of solitude.
