Justice league vs starro

[ Superman POV ]

Happy Harbor, USA

I fly at high speeds towards the coordinates Batman sent me. I was a bit late as I was busy saving an airplane from crashing into the daily planet, but that's no excuse. As I approached I saw multiple people gathered amongst the rubble. They were the flash, wonder woman, martian manhutner, Green lantern(Hal Jordan), Aquaman and Batman.

"What's the situation." I ask Batman, landing on the ground.

"In a word, it's bad. Starro has destroyed most of the city. Although most civilians have been evacuated, some are under Starro's control. They won't allow us to approach recklessly." Batman explained.

"Luckily, I can break Starro's control over them if I get close enough." Martian Manhunter stated.

"The plan is simple, I and wonder woman stall starro while J'onn counters starro. The flash and green lantern evacuate the civilians whereas you and Aquaman make sure no one gets hurt." Batman tells me.

"Ok I can work with that." I say agreeing to his plan.

"When all civilians are safe we'll be counting on you to chuck starro into space." Batman adds.

"Won't that kill him" I question.

"Don't worry, this is not the real Starro. His real body is somewhere deep in the Mariana trench. This is just a starfish he's possessing." Batman clarified.

'Let's move' said Batman as we began heading towards the gigantic starfish in the middle of the city.

[3rd person POV]

"I've confirmed 259 civilians surrounding Starro. They'll have to removed from the surrounding area to someplace safe. Aquaman, I'm counting on you to get help from any marine life to help with the evacuation. Flash, get them to the coast line. Wonder woman, there is still a tall structure near starro. Get there and try to use you lasso to restrain starro while J'onn tries to free the civilians from his control. Superman I've noticed Poison Ivy, Cheetah, Bane and Captain cold in the area. They're suspected to be under Starro's control as well. I'll need you to neutralize them, so that they don't hurt any civilians. Green lantern make sure to take care of any debris starro throws our way." Batman explains while driving towards the site at 200 mph.

Soon he sees a massive 150 ft starfish, with an eye in the middle of its body. It is surrounded by a crowd. He drives towards it and when he's about 4 kms away he fires a missile at it from his batmobile. The missile hits it's target and makes an explosion that causes a chunk of creature's massive limb to get obliterated.

"Now Diana" signals Batman.

Then suddenly a long golden rope elongates and coils around Starro, paralysing him. Starro tries to move around but his appendages dare not listen to him. The rope tightens, making sure that starro would never be able to escape it's hold.

"Now J'onn, it won't hold for more than 15 minutes" Wonder woman, who is holding one end of the rope shouts out.

Martian Manhunter takes the cue and flies right next to starro. He holds out his hand to touch Starro's eye and closes his eyes, as he tries to free the people from Starro's control.

'Ill have to free them one by one.' thinks J'onn as he begins his work.

Soon people begin to fall unconscious and a red blur starts to remove them from the premises. Starro isn't staying still, however and he orders the people still under his control to climb his bodies and attack J'onn. He also orders the supervillains under his control to attack the one who is using the rope to restrain him .

[Superman POV]

I fly towards a man who is wearing a thick, blue coloured jacket and holding a gun attached to a pipe. It's captain cold, one of the villains Batman told me about.

'Lets get this over with and go help flash with the evacuation.' I think to myself as I appear in front of the man a get ready to knock him out with a punch.

But before I can do so, a large vine grabs me arm and hinders my movements. And then a man grabs me from the back as more and more vines latch onto me. The man in front of me fires his gun freezing me solid. Nevertheless I am quick to recover. I use my heart vision to melt the ice and puch away the man wearing a lucador mask, knocking him out instantly.

I am then once again hit by a beam of ice. "Could you stop that?" I request the assailant politely as I crush the ice on my back."It's rather uncomfortable" I say before more vines try to attack me. I'm prepared this time, however as I use my freeze breathe to destroy the plants.

I then fly towards Captain cold as I run him into a wall knocking him out.

'Now, time for the problematic one' I think as use my x-ray vision to search for Poison-Ivy.

[ 3rd person POV ]

The massive crowd, still 200 people strong begins climbing Starro's massive body. They are headed for Martian Manhunter, trying to get him off of starro. Manhunter is currently completely vulnerable as he is using all of his concentration to release people from Starro's control and cannot afford to turn invulnerable.

As the people start to get close to him the are suddenly stopped by a massive wall made of solid green light. Then the people begin to fall over as they are bound by chains and handcuffs made up of the very same material.

"Hey now, personal space guys." Quips green lantern as he flies through the air, catching any rubbish starro telepathically throws their way. "How much longer do you need J'onn" he asks.

"It'll take some time." Martian Manhunter shouts out, not even able to speak through telepathy due to the concentration needed for his task.

"No worries I'll stay here acting like you guardian space-cop" he responds. While this is happening Batman and wonder woman face a predicament of their own.

A/N: Well, this situation will take maybe another chapter or two to resolve and then we'll start wrapping up the prologue.

Also. How's my first action heavy chapter. Please feel free to judge.
