Lightning flashed across the sky followed by the booming thunder. Shawn flinched as he sat on the driver's seat of the car parked behind the building's corner, where they tracked Knox's location.
He kept biting his lower lip out of fear for Athan who went inside. It had been thirty minutes since he did already, yet there was no sign of him coming back. Shawn was beginning to be extremely worried.
The building was an unconstructed high-rise building. It was unkempt and looked dangerous; the walls were covered in graffiti; mountains of gravel and sand were piled everywhere, obstructing the building from view, and making the road gravelly because of the rain washing them away; metal beams were hanging above looking as though a mere movement would make them fall and pierce the ground; and the scaffoldings looked like they'd be dismantled by the wind.
