Rest well

Inside the castle, in the throne room, Sebastian, Eve, Amelia, and the twins stood beside the gold casket that was opened, and in it lay Leif's body. His eyes were closed, and he looked peaceful; one could almost mistake him for being asleep. Amelia continued to cry silently, wiping the tears from her face as they continued to drop. Her throat hurt, and she coughed, choking on her sobs before eventually turning away and running out of the throne room. Her heart was broken and continued to break as she looked at Leif, waiting for him to get up, but he was gone. Gone before he could read the confession note she left in his room minutes before the attack started. It was partly her fault, she told herself as she continued to run in the hallways, wiping away her endless tears. If she hadn't screamed out his name when the witch came to attack her, he would have still been alive, but she would be dead.
