The Unknown

From a distance, someone was watching them, their daughter was absolutely gorgeous. And as always, she is attached to her parents. For a lady of her age, she was clingy, he liked it. The idea of her clinging to him didn't sound bad. He wished it was him.

The previous day, as always as she was with her brother, with her brother it was always impossible for anyone to think they are related. She is always by her side, as she was yesterday. Staring at him with eyes glowing.

Those eyes were not siblings' eyes, but hey who was he to say otherwise or judge.

She stayed with his brother closely as they were walking. There was no one behind them and he was surprised. It was the first time he saw no one with a suit behind them, he always assumes it's either their bodyguard or their driver. But they were all alone.

The man and the lady looked happy, happy as if the world was theirs.

As he had stared at them, the brother was the one talking while the lady was happy and slapping his arm as she laughed. And then the brother turned and left the sister there. He watched, and he found it fascinating.

He could do that every time, every day.

But it was impossible since the man and his sister were not seen that much.

The place he was standing at gave him a clear view of the lady only, he didn't like that but loved the idea of watching the lady alone. He watched, not watching he was gawking as a falcon ready to snatch away its food.

One moment he was searching for something from his bag and the next thing he saw was the lady going back and forth like a mad person, he hit his fist on the wall. What was going on?

How could he have missed something from staring at his phone?

He almost dropped his phone on the ground and smash it with his shoes but thought against it, after all that phone was expensive and it has a lot in it. And when he meant a lot. It was a lot.

He watched as she went and back and start talking to some people, and then at once, he heard her scream. All he could think of was, "The lady has a beautiful voice."

He was mesmerized by the movement, the screams.

He hoped no one would ask her what was going on, people were surrounding his view and he wanted to go there and tell them to scatter the hell away.

As he was thinking of going down there, thinking of a perfect way he could go and be like, "Hey you, move away. I am watching the lady scream." As if that won't make him too rude or crazy.

Before he would go to rescue the woman, in his mind it was rescuing. A woman stood and ask others to keep quiet they were confusing her.

They all kept quiet and then they spoke, and he could see the woman speaking on the phone.

After a few minutes passed he saw a car driving to them. It looked familiar, the number of people was increasing.

A man and a woman came out and they spoke to her. She then left with the woman and the man remained there talking to what seemed like the police.

After he watched the car drive away it dawned, he hadn't realized that the brother wasn't there. Where did he go? It was unusual. He took his bag and went on his way; happy he has accomplished his day.

The pictures he had taken were enough. And the cry he heard was the sweetest melodious he could ever hear. He knew he was going to sleep just fine.

And now, today. Watching them, it was early and he was yawning. He didn't sleep as he thought he would, the melodious sound didn't make it any easier. He had spent the whole night staring at the pictures on his wall.

He watched as they alight the car, it was surprising two days in a row at the Sean Corner. "And where in the world was the brother? And why did they look like someone had just died?" He questioned himself.

Smiling, someone dying didn't sound bad. Maybe if it was the brother, it could give him the perfect opportunity to swoop in and be the perfect prince charming for his Cinderella. Of course, the lady being Cinderella and then he would do everything for and to the lady.

Everything.

What he has always pictured, he wished it was the brother. And then maybe, he would make a way to make the parents go away too.

He watched as the family went and met a man, they seemed to be speaking hush voices since people were staring at them. The lady had a cap and a shawl and it made him angry, he wanted to see the face.

The beautiful face made his day sweet and his night way, way sweeter.

He wanted to hear what they were hushing about. He went near to where they were standing. He was taken by the lady's beauty that the only thing he got was, "… his phone down."

He caught the lady's eyes and looked away quickly, he didn't want their first meeting to be like that. What he had in mind was something special.

For their first eye contact to be filled with butterflies and glow, and then they would run to one another.

Oh, boy. The man had dreams

The family walked to a corner and stayed there then came back, the man was holding her lady's hand and all he could think was to shout out loud and say, "You get your hands out of her."

But seriously, it was just her father.

The family looked shook, and he wanted for them to go away and go to where they had come from and see what the fuss was all about.

Or was it the brother?

Oh, how he wished it was maybe the brother. Maybe he had finally met his way to wherever the departed go to.

He thought of looking for a partner so as they could come together whenever he was watching her sweet beautiful lady, maybe the partner to act as the ear while he was the eyes, but no that meant sharing.

And sharing with him was impossible, it wasn't in her mind, he wanted the lady to be all hers.

He pretended to scroll at his phone, after all, it was a public place, and anyone was free to do whatever they wanted. For him, it meant pretending to scroll through his phone as he tried to listen to whatever was going on.

A police car came and he was sure there was a body. Even if he was trying to get what they were talking about, he couldn't hear. The mother was busy typing at his phone as the lady stared at it. What was going on?

The police arrived and they talked for a few minutes, the father looked angry. It looked like it was bad news. He smiled, how everything was working on his side.

If the father was angry, it meant the woman was going to leave the lady alone and go and try to calm the man down. That would give him the perfect chance to go and talk to the lady.

He grinned, there was no way he was going to stand there and talk. Talk what? He would swoop in and run with his Cinderella. Like the good man he always tells himself he was.

He was right, the woman left the lady's side and went to talk to the man. He moved slow but sure, and as he reached next to them, he looked at the man, the woman, and the other people who they were talking to. The conversation they were having was deep, they were very serious.

He didn't care what the conversation was all about and went behind the lady.

"Hi."

No answer.

He shook his head and tried again.

"Hello."

Nothing.
