Stay
"How are we in the same hotel, the same night, in an elevator, at the same time? And on the rooftop at the same time too?"
That is the same question I have been asking myself over and over for the past ten minutes.
I look back and Mary or the lady or whoever the lady is, is sitting and staring at me. She raises her hand and waves at me slowly, and she continues even if she can see that I am not waving back.
The lady is crazy.
Seeing she is not stopping I wave back, and that is when she puts her hand down slowly, and when I say slowly it is really slow. What is she, a robot?
She smiles at me and I turn around faster while thinking, "this is it, this is the day I am going to meet my maker, because surely the way the lady smiles at me, there is something."
