Doctor Stephanie Perry

"Hello, Doctor Stephanie Perry."

Brenda Keys told herself as she stared at whom she loved to call, Doctor Stephanie Perry. She didn't call the others by their professionals and if anyone asked her she would say Doctor Stephanie was her favorite.

She looked at her as she walked through the door and went to the receptionist and from how the receptionist smiled Brenda guessed Stephanie had just greeted her.

She stood there for a little bit and took a chart the receptionist gave her. Brenda wished she could move a little bit so she could hear what they were saying or even read their lips.

She wanted to hear her voice and she could only imagine how beautiful and smart she looked, her voice was going to be calm and collective. But that didn't make her sure enough, anyone could behave, look and talk differently.

The man who was sitting next to Brenda stirred and Brenda looked at him, she wanted to ask him what was wrong maybe if he wanted some help. Yes, she was stalking her sister but that didn't mean she didn't have a heart for asking the person next to her if they needed help.

More patients were walking by Brenda maybe going to see the doctor or visiting their loved ones, and Brenda didn't like it at all, they were wasting her useful minutes of watching her beautiful sister.

She continued staring at the man whose eyes were closed, and he was tapping his leg, the man was becoming more anxious, and Brenda thought maybe he was waiting for some news.

Brenda thought of looking at Doctor Stephanie for the last time and then helping the man but as she looked at where she saw her standing and then back at the man, the man wasn't sitting anymore. The man stood smiled at Doctor Stephanie and the doctor came to where he was.

Brenda looked down and touched the shawl she had covering her face with what looked like goggles, she was ridiculous and she didn't care. It was a hospital and patients were disoriented and there were others having goggles too.

Covering their blotchy red eyes from crying maybe?

"Hi, sorry for keeping you waiting. Hope you haven't stayed for that long." Brenda heard Stephanie saying to the man, she loved the voice and she felt jittery in her body and clapped for herself inside her head for wearing her hearing aids.

"No, it's okay. My son had been crying since yesterday but this morning he woke up fine." The man said.

Yes, Doctor Stephanie Perry is a pediatrician.

"That is good, that is good. It means the medicine is working."

"Yes, but he is not eating." The man told her.

"Where is he now?"

"Oh, I am so sorry they are in your office with my wife I wanted to wait for you here."

"That's okay, we can go now."

"Thank you very much, Doctor Stephanie." The man told her and I wiped the tears from his eyes.

They stood and left, Brenda watched them and was surprised why in the world was the man crying, he had just said his son was getting better.

"His son has been sick, and Doctor Stephanie has been taking care of his son since he was a baby." She heard the person next to her telling another person next to them.

A minute didn't pass, and then Doctor Stephanie walked by and the nurses stared and the patients stared at her. You could see jealousy dripping off the nurses' faces, but for the patients, it was different as it was that of pure adoration and love.

Brenda stared at Doctor Stephanie smiling and waving at the nurses which were received with a frail wave. Typical jealous nurses.

The door opened and a patient got wheeled past them screaming in pain, Brenda looked away as images came to her head of when her brother had screamed when he had hurt himself when they were young and he had been taken to the hospital.

"NO BRENDA!" She screamed inside her mind as if to stop it from going to where it wanted to go.

She wanted to focus today on only one person and that was Doctor Stephanie.

"Steph," a lady called her and Stephanie looked back, it was the same lady who had spoken to another person.

"She wanted to ask her if she could be her daughter's doctor, I hear Stephanie is fully booked. I have been trying to get her to be my son's doctor too." Another person who had taken a sit where the man was early on said.

"Okay, why is everyone after Stephanie like that? It isn't like there are no doctors in the hospital, it is a big hospital." Another one asked.

Brenda felt something in her stomach.

She looked at the person who had just spoken, and if she wasn't wearing her goggles, she was sure her eyes would have murdered the person who had just spoken.

How dare the person talk like that about her sister? It was okay for the nurses to look at her with jealousy but Brenda wasn't going to sit there and listen to someone talking like that about her sister and most importantly not referring to Doctor Stephanie.

"She is a great doctor and she is great with kids, don't talk like that." The person next to Brenda said.

Brenda smiled and almost high-fived the person who had just spoken like that about her sister.

Looking up she saw that her sister had just finished speaking with the woman and the woman was smiling, and it meant Doctor Stephanie had agreed to be her kid's doctor.

Doctor Stephanie was one amazing woman.

Doctor Stephanie walked and left using the same door she had used when she had come in, and with that, it meant it was time for Brenda Keys to get up and go do the work she was supposed to do.

Being the C.E.O of her company.
