Clever Girl
My mother is smiling at me and I am sure if it was any other place she would have laughed at me. She touches my lap while I am still staring at my father, I swear if he calls my name, I am so doomed.
I am not embarrassed or anything, this is not a high school football game and I am a player and then my father calls me and I feel embarrassed. No!
This is the worst, this is a meeting, a meeting which I didn't expect him to be here, a meeting I have not paid attention to it that much, a meeting where people don't know me, a meeting which I have made sure not to interact and the big issue is if he calls me I am not sure what I will do.
My father turns to look at my mother and I look at her too, she is smiling at him, and then we lock eyes one more time and I think my dad sees how I am sitting so instead of pointing me out, he looks away with a smile.
