“Yes, Mr. Florence?” she said without looking up from the pages of text in front of her.

Zunella! Eddie startled so badly that he damn near cleared the counter he was propped against. With a wince Eddie grabbed for the tiny bottles, tubes, and assorted folders that threatened to go flying.

When everything was more or less back the way it was, Eddie turned to Zunella with a nervous smile. She still wasn’t looking at him.

“My tour guide went that-a-way,” Eddie said, pointing.

“Mm.”

“You seem busy.” He took a step in her direction. “But, I guess you always are. There must be a lot to do. With all these people and all their crazy little—”

“We prefer not to use that word, Mr. Florence.”
