[Bonus chapter]60th Break: Drunk 

Lin Yao didn't think much when he heard a door open. After all, Lin Ze is now wearing a mask. Even if someone recognized him, Lin Yao, he could just tell them that the drunk person with him is his friend who is heartbroken today. Because he is wearing a mask since he feels ashamed for what he has done – that is, cheating. Although mentally. So, Lin Yao ignored the person who opened the door and came out of his room. He has Lin Ze to worry about right now. Fortunately, Lin Ze wasn't wild or noisy when he was drunk. Instead, he is silent and looks like he is sleeping.

Lin Yao continued to pull Lin Ze with him as he counted the doors on the left. He is in a hurry since Lin Ze is extremely heavy, not to mention their height difference! So, it is very difficult for Lin Yao to carry someone who is taller than him. Thus, he is sweating a lot now. He also likes this cousin of his who he thinks is cool and easy to get along with. Unlike his eldest cousin Lin Hao who is rigid and stern, and unlike his third cousin Lin Rui who is crafty and likes to dig people's secrets his ambition is to work in Huichen – an intelligence network and detective agency.

"Finally!" Lin Yao exclaimed and sighed in relief when he finally reached the fifth room on the left. But, just as he was about to open it, he suddenly noticed something.

Why is it so silent? He thought as his brows knitted, feeling doubtful. He didn't hear any footsteps even if a door opened earlier and somebody came out. But, he didn't hear the person return to his room earlier and close the door. So, where is the person now?

The answer came when he heard someone call his name. "Lin Yao?" a gentle and melodious voice called.

Lin Yao subconsciously turned back when he heard someone call his name. "Yes?" he answered and raised his gaze, only for him to freeze when he saw who it was.

Those beautiful brows... That eyes that can hook the soul… and that veil that covers the lower half of the face, but only makes one fantasize what could be the shape of his lips…

"M – Meng Xing?" Lin Yao exclaimed, feeling startled when he saw Meng Xing. Of all the people, he didn't expect to meet Meng Xing!

Although there is nothing wrong with Meng Xing here in the Yang family's inn, why would they meet him at this time? No… why would they have to meet him?! There are so many people in the Yang family's inn today, as the Yang family's business turned back being prosperous as Lin Yao heard before since the 'ghost' that plagued the inn has now left.

Yet, out of all the guests… why is it Meng Xing that they met?!

"It is really you!" Meng Xing exclaimed, acting surprised while ignoring Lin Yao's horrified expression. He knows that Lin Ze was drunk since he saw them alight the carriage earlier.

As for the reason why Lin Ze is drunk… Meng Xing doesn't care, since it is not his business.

"M – Meng Xing…!" Lin Yao gasped, finally recovering from his shock. Why is it Meng Xing?! He is one of the reasons why Lin Ze drank today! He thought as he broke into a cold sweat while turning Lin Ze's face away from Meng Xing's direction. He just hoped that Lin Ze was already unconscious so he wouldn't hear Meng Xing's voice.

"Yes? It is fate that we met here." Meng Xing said and smiled. His eyes turned into crescents.

'fate'? Pei*! (spitting interjection). What 'fate'? I could have avoided seeing you right now, yet I didn't and intentionally came out of my room to meet you. So, should I change my name to 'fate' now? He thought as his smile under the veil became wider.

Lin Yao almost coughed out a mouthful of blood when he heard what Meng Xing said. 'fate'?! If this is fate, then I wish fate could stay away from Lin Ze and me right now! He thought as his face was covered in black lines. "W – what are you doing here?" he asked Meng Xing as he stretched his other hand to reach the door and open it.

"Oh. My friends told me to stay here instead of staying in the suburbs which is far." Meng Xing lied without even blinking his beautiful eyes. "They said that this place is close to them, and so they could immediately come to me if I need their help." He explained.

"I – I see…" Lin Yao could barely hold his smile. Beads of sweat trickled on the side of his face when he noticed that the door couldn't be opened. What the heck! Why is this door broken at this time?! He thought, wanting to enter the room as soon as possible and throw Lin Ze aside so Lin Ze wouldn't see Meng Xing.

But, at this time, Meng Xing spoke again. "Huh?" he muttered. "Your drunk friend… looks familiar?" he asked as he stared at the masked 'friend' of Lin Yao.
