Dexter had been ignoring me and it was becoming more annoying. I had to apologize somehow.

"Dexter" I called, thankfully he stopped and turned. I walked up to him.

Before I got to him, Jayden popped out of nowhere, blocking my view. I didn't look at him yet, I kept trying to move but he kept blocking my way.

"What?" he turned. Dexter shook his head and walked away. I sighed, rolling my eyes. This is more annoying than I thought

"It's about him, right?"

I nodded, pouting.

"Don't worry, sweetie" he took my hands in his "we'd go apologize to him together" we walked to class and headed for Dexter's seat.

"Dexter"

"What is it?" he didn't look up from his book.

"Hey, I'm talking to you" I used my index to raise his chin so he could look at me.

"Dexter, I'm sorry. It was my..."

"It was my fault" Jayden interrupted me "I didn't want to know what she was saying when she was trying to tell me you were with her. I'm really sorry about that" he actually lied to apologize for me. I don't think Dexter can ever do that. For me. For anyone.

"No one asked you, Jayden. Why are you here with her? I mean, she hypnotized you, right? Because, I can never imagine you'd ever apologize to me, even in the dream"

"Dexter, I won't warn you twice. Don't make me angry or I'd do worse that I've ever done to you"

"What else can you do? Beat me up, if you wanna. You could kill me too, if you feel that's the best you can do"

"Is that a dare?"

"Obviously not"

I just stood there, watching them both, it seemed like they had forgotten I was right in front of them.

"Be careful, Dexter" he warned.

"So what?"

"Taking Blair wasn't enough, right?"

"What the hell are you talking about?" he raised a brow.

"I don't wanna waste my time talking to you" he walked out.

I gave Dexter that 'fuck you' look and walked after Jayden.

"Jayden" I kept calling.

"I'm fine" he didn't look back.

"Jay? Listen to me"

He stopped, turned to me and rolled his eyes "I'm listening"

I pushed him to sit "what exactly is going on between you both?"

"We're rivals"

"I don't get it. Why? How?"

"I'm not in that mood right now"

"But I wanna know"

"I said I'm not in the mood" he yelled. I took too steps backwards. He pulled my closer with my hands in his.

"Sweetie, I'm sorry. But you just won't understand" he patted my cheek and I nodded.

I still felt upset about it. I sat on a table at the cafeteria, eating sausage rolls. I was actually pouring my anger on it.

Dexter sat opposite me. I looked up, surprise and shock written on my face.

"Surprise" he smirked.

"I thought..."

"Oh! Forget about that. Apology accepted"

I smiled "Thank you"

"You know I can't get angry at you for a long time"

"I'm just knowing"

"That's because you don't know I love you"

"I... I love you more" I fluttered my lashes.

"Seriously"

"I do"

He chuckled, then it turned to laughter.

I rolled my eyes "what's funny?"

"Alex. I was only kidding. I have a girlfriend"

I stood up "you..." I swallowed, pointing at him "you have a girlfriend and you've been all over me?"

"What? It was a pra..."

I slapped him "that's for making me put you on my mind" I poured the orange juice he had brought, on him "that's for, go to hell, Dexter. Drive to hell" I raced out, ignoring the stares I was receiving. It's their business to think what they want.

I covered my face with my handkerchief, only letting the upper half of my eyes show, so no one would notice my teary eyes as I walked through the hallway. I had a decision, not to attend classes for the rest of the day, so I headed towards the library.

A group of girls pushed me, annoying suckers they are.

"Why can't you watch where you're going?"

"We actually know where we are going"

"So what?"

"We just wanna sound a warning to you. Stay away from Dexter, okay?" the supposed leader snapped his fingers in front of my face.

"And if I don't?"

"I don't wanna tell you. But you'd sure regret it" she walked away and they all followed her like she was their god or something.

I just didn't have their fuckin' time. I thought of Jayden as I got to the library. Luckily, I saw him there, like he was waiting for me.

I hesitated for a while before walking up to him. I sat opposite him and h elooked up, a smile forming on his lips.

"How was it?"

"You knew?"

"Of course, I saw you both talking so I left"

I rolled my eyes "he's a jerk" I wiped the tears that dropped and the ones still forming.

"Were you crying?"

"No... I wasn't" my voice cracked.

He cupped my face "tell me something"

I sighed "it's nothing serious"

"It is. What did he say or do to you?"

"He has a girlfriend, those girls threatened to kill me. But y'know, I don't care" There was a lie in that statement. I don't really care. I cared but I don't care no more.

"Don't just..."

"Jayden"

He turned and let out a groan "what Jessica?"

"I miss you, Jayden" she made a cute face, flipping her hair backwards with her fingers.

"I don't care. Just leave now"

"Are you telling me to leave?"

"Are you dumb? Get the hell out of here"

"Are you saying all these because of this thing?" she pointed her long glittery nails at me, not sparing me a glance.

"She's not a thing. She's someone to me and you're no one. Get it?"

"But..."

"Just leave, now"

She fluttered her long lashes at me and walked out. I sighed. I should've reacted nut I had COMPOSURE, I guess?

"Sorry about that"

"No, it's nothing" I shrugged.
