Bound To The Vampire Prince

The human race was at war with the vampires but it all came to an end when an agreement was made. A truce that had been in existence for centuries– a woman would be offered to the current vampire prince to be his wife or mistress, trapped forever as his prisoner. It sounded drastic but thousands of women would kill for that spot but Eliza was the unlucky one Some said she was lucky, while others said it was through power and wealth that she managed to catch the interest of the cursed prince. Eliza lost all her privileges the moment she was proclaimed his bride but what happens when the vampires demand for their prince to have a child with Eliza? Or he chooses another human female that would do the job. " Don't worry, I respect your decision, I understand if you want to take in another wife." She whispered with a handful of tears ready to spill out from her reddened eyes " No wife, you are the only woman in my life!" Dav exclaimed. Will that promise hold for a long time, when Eliza refused to do her duty as the Prince's wife?

Strange.

I found myself in an open field but I was very aware that we were still at the castle. It hurts that the vamps had made me feel left out since they seemed to have had a telepathic conversation.

Seth had gracefully held on to my hand while Dav stood like a mannequin with his associates, Leo and Ray.

" If I may ask, is the tour still happening?" I asked to break whatever discussion they had deemed that I wouldn't hear, which resulted in their attention being drawn to me. Though Seth had firmly held on to me, my attention was still drawn to Dav and the fact that he had a mischievous smirk on his face proved that he realized it.

I changed my mind, I wanted Dav to be the one to hold me, I wanted to be in his embrace but it seemed the little signal I had given him didn't help. My gaze traveled to Ray who for an unknown reason wouldn't stop staring at the hand Seth had used to hold me while Leo tried his best to remain positive by keeping a smile.

" Yes wife, I sent a town crier to inform the vampires of our arrival." Dav blurted out.

His words sure surprised me, who in the hell still used town criers? Before I could ask him what he meant by those words, a male rushed up to us. He was also dressed in an old fashioned way but not as good-looking as the princes.

" Your highness, it has been done." He bowed and left. Not less than a second after his words, Dav wordlessly walked up to Seth and me, and without giving a note of warning, he loosened Seth's grip on me….. effortlessly.

I could see the displeasure on Seth's face which was expected of him but it didn't seem like he had plans to oppose Dav's action. Amid my thoughts, Dav didn't hold me in the hand, instead, he wrapped his arms around my waist and drew me closer to himself, which resulted in me facing him

I could recognize that act from anywhere, the act of possessiveness and it seemed he wanted to take it to another level. In the presence of his brother and associates, Dav leaned closer to my face.

Good lord, I wasn't so oblivious to not having the slightest idea of what he was about to do. No way, especially not in a public place.

" Prince, this is a public space, it's inappropriate for the crown prince to mess around in public"

At least Ray had proved himself to be useful as he said those words, if we still didn't have a beef to settle, I would have whispered a 'thank you.' His words made Dav halt on his track as he intensely stared into my eyes. I could see a lot of things in those eyes, in which lust was one of them.

What a shameless vamp!

After a while of silence which came with his weird stare, he let go of me and adjusted the coat.

" Then, let's get this done quickly." He said and leaned closer to my ear ".....this isn't coming for free, you owe me and I plan on taking out my debt tonight." He traced off.

"...."

With no time wasted, my face turned red while I shifted my gaze to the vamps and the reaction I got from them didn't help to ease my embarrassment. There, both Leo and Seth gave me a ' have fun ' look while Ray simply stared at my face without blinking an eye.

Why would Dav whisper those words when he was sure that the vampires could clearly hear what he said? Well, I said nothing but whatever plans he had for the night, I swore to myself that it was never going to happen, not when he had openly acted shamelessly.

Dav started to move with me in his embrace while the vampires followed suit.

The path started to look strange, though, we were still at the castle but it felt weird like something had been taken away from me but what?

The electric bulbs which would always light up the hallway of the castle were nowhere to be found, they were replaced with weird fire torches. I was confused, if we were heading to the vampire kingdom, shouldn't we be outside of the castle before heading to the vampire kingdom?

In the next minute, Dav led me into a dark room but I was well aware that he could see through the darkness. Good Lord, whatever joke he had tried to play on me, it was getting creepy.

" Dav is this the–" My words were cut short when he opened an unexpected door in the dark room, it led to what seemed like an underground tunnel which was lit with fire torches.

Wait, was that the reason the humans couldn't find the vampires' kingdom? Was it buried underground?

I was left in the dark, no one wanted to explain anything to me and it irked me. Well, I chose not to say anything until we finally reached the ' kingdom ' they had talked about.

Midway through the tunnel, I could hear voices from ahead. It got louder until we came across two females dressed just like I was clothed. I guessed they were headed to the castle.

" Good day, my prince." They greeted in unison while staring at Dav provocatively.

Dav ignored them and continued with the journey, I could have sworn that I heard a mocking cough from one of the male vamps and my guts tells me that it was Ray that did it.

Anyways, I couldn't help but form a slight smile on my face. If only he had ignored Beatrice in such a manner, maybe, we wouldn't have fought.

Another weird silence followed suit until we got to another door. Finally, Dav gazed at me.

" Welcome to my kingdom, wife." With those words, he slowly opened the door, only for my expectations to be thrown out of the window.

" Good lord." I gasped without realizing it.
