Bound To The Vampire Prince

The human race was at war with the vampires but it all came to an end when an agreement was made. A truce that had been in existence for centuries– a woman would be offered to the current vampire prince to be his wife or mistress, trapped forever as his prisoner. It sounded drastic but thousands of women would kill for that spot but Eliza was the unlucky one Some said she was lucky, while others said it was through power and wealth that she managed to catch the interest of the cursed prince. Eliza lost all her privileges the moment she was proclaimed his bride but what happens when the vampires demand for their prince to have a child with Eliza? Or he chooses another human female that would do the job. " Don't worry, I respect your decision, I understand if you want to take in another wife." She whispered with a handful of tears ready to spill out from her reddened eyes " No wife, you are the only woman in my life!" Dav exclaimed. Will that promise hold for a long time, when Eliza refused to do her duty as the Prince's wife?

I'm not ready

With no doubt, I was able to recognize the owner of that voice, it belonged to the female member of the Nightfangs.

Well, at that moment, I wasn't so shocked by their presence since Dav didn't give them any chance to complete their mission back at the wedding reception.

I turned my gaze over to Ray but his reaction wasn't as extravagant as that of Dav and the mistress. I could have sworn that I saw a faint smile on his face.

I didn't know whatever message Dav and Ray had passed through their eye contact, but it was very certain that they were ready for whatever the Nightfangs plans the Nightfangs had.

Dav looked down at me and gave me a warm smile before leading me to the living.

" If my memory serves me right, one of the rules given to the Nightfangs is that they are not allowed to come to the official residence of the crown prince."

If looks could kill, then Ray could have been dead even before he could finish his words. It was very certain that they didn't like Ray's presence.

I was also taken aback by his words, the last time I checked, it was only Dav that could stand up to the Nightfangs, even the king was scared of them but there Ray was, emitting Dav's boldness.

Just before the female member could say anything, she was stopped by someone who seemed to be a leader.

" Cursed prince, since we were not given the opportunity to talk to the human at the reception, we are here to complete our task."

Hell, those words were like poison to my consciousness while everyone's attention was drawn to me including Dav's.

There was no way I would talk to them when the aura they emitted an aura that was enough to intimidate and to pass my message to Dav, I tightened my grip on his hand.

" She's here, you can say whatever you want to say." Again, Ray unexpectedly blurted out for the Nightfangs' attention to be drawn to him.

I literally heard one of them gnash their teeth but the unmoved Ray showed no sign of remorse. If only I had his courage, I wouldn't have considered myself pathetic.

" Ray, we have no business with you and I would appreciate it if you don't interfere." The Nightfangs leader said but the slight smile on Ray's face showed that he had no plans to do as the Nightfangs had said.

Meanwhile, for an unknown reason, Dav was pissed off, not by the presence of the Nightfangs but by something else. It seemed that Dav was very displeased that it was Ray who had stood up for me and not him.

That was a weird kind of jealousy, considering the fact that it was to my good.

After a minute of intense stare, the Nightfangs decided to stop biting around the bush as they returned their gaze to me.

" Princess, you are expected to produce an heir for the cursed prince with immediate effect. This is another way to strengthen the relationship between humans and vamps. If you are unable to do that we will get the cursed prince another human female."

I knew that one day, this topic would be discussed and I feared that I might not be able to do that. I can't even let Dav kiss me, not to talk of bedding with him so I could give an offspring.

Again, I tightened my grip on Dav's arm and he was able to get my message.

Dav hissed, he also seemed displeased by what the Nightfangs had said but I wasn't deceived by his display. I knew that he knew about it but didn't know how to tell me but I guess the Nightfangs had done that for him.

At some point, I wondered if his kindness towards me was because he needed offspring from me.

" My wife and I will discuss that, you can take your leave," Dav said but it seemed that the Nightfangs still had more to say.

" We also expect the princess in the castle, she had long overdue her stay here."

Those words no longer frightened me since that wasn't the first time that I had heard those words

" The prince has agreed with his wife, they plan on moving to the castle soon." Ray blurted out.

With those words said, Dav walked out of the living room with his grip still on my hand. That was all I needed, I wanted to be far away from those intimidating vamps and their bewitching eyes.

.

Dav's aura immediately subsided the moment we entered his room. If I hadn't been in the living room, I wouldn't have believed that he was the same person from a moment ago.

" Don't let whatever they say get to your head, we can have children whenever we want."

If only he knew that we can never have children together as the fear of being one with him haunts me. No one knows how it would turn out if a human and a vamp mate since it had never been done.

The previous humans brought to Dav killed themselves or had something happen to them before Dav could bed them. I have stayed with Dav longer than any of the past human females.

" To have children, we will have to consummate our marriage, right?" I asked.

He turned his gaze to random places that weren't my face. He wasn't a fool to not know how children are produced.

" But I said I'm not re–"

" I know and I respect that, I will wait even if it takes forever."

He shoved my words back into my throat as he said those words. I had the feeling that Dav would wait for me but will the vamps wait? Especially with the way that they had constantly emphasized the fact that Dav needed a son.

Without any will to prolong the topic, I simply nodded and formed a fake smile while my gaze flew to random places except his face.

" We are moving to the castle tomorrow." He said to ease the awkward tension.

Still, I said nothing but nodded my head in agreemet.
