I woke up to see only Dav lying beside me with my face buried in his chest and his hands wrapped around my waist.
I didn't want to ask how he managed to get rid of Seth. He was there, holding me like how a husband should hold his wife. Indeed, Seth was right. Dav never left.
His shallow but steady breath suggested that he had fallen asleep which made me lift my head to stare at his face.
If it would have been any other day, I would have been shocked by the blood that has stained the bed sheet but this was the same vamp who had dwelled in anger some minute ago, it was inevitable for his scars to continue their usual habit of gushing out blood.
Sigh. The moment might have looked peaceful at that moment but I was no fool to not be prepared for the inevitable emotional rollercoaster that would happen when he finally wakes up.
