Elena's Pov.

This was it, there was no turning back, I sat thinking, I was waiting for Katie to come back from wherever she went to go and submit the file, I was too busy rubbing my hands together and being overly nervous, something I tended to do very often. 

Today was the day, in which the first episode of the adventure reality show will be aired today and I was sweating bulls, I did d not know how to feel or what to expect, I just knew that I had to do it, this was another beginning for me, I had to make it work,any way that I could, I had to land the leading role in that upcoming movie, it would throw me in the spotlight and my acting careers would start from there, but what made me scared was that the other contestants were probably thinking the same thing, we all wanted the number one spot and as such some people would be playing dirty, there were no rules to the game, apart from physical harm, every other thing was allowed, one just had to play their cards well.

I sat there, steeling myself and trying to get my nerves to calm down and to my utmost surprise, I succeeded in calming myself down, it was as though someone had poured a bucket full of cold water on my nerves, calming them and making them seem non existent although I had barely been able to stay in my seat just a moment ago.

Just then, Katie came in, her hair was like a bird's nest and I wondered what she had been up to, I almost snorted a laugh, but from her expression, it told me that something was not right.

"They have postponed the date for the show due to some last minute decision" she said, not looking my way, if she did, she would have noticed the relief on my face, I guess I was just not ready after all,

"So?" I asked.

"So, we are going to have to wait for another two weeks before everything comes into play" she said.

" Oh okay" I answered and she turned to look at me as if she could not believe that I was okay with this.

"So, you are okay with this?" She asked.

"Yes" I said," although what I am not okay with is you walking into your office, looking like you have a bird's nest on your head." 

"Erm… that was…" she said.

" With who?" I asked, raising my eyebrows at her, of course I was not stupid, I knew that she had been down to some dirty stuff while she was away.

" An old acquaintance" she looked down at her shoes.

"And you did not see fit to arrange your hair after you were done? A blind person can see from a mile away what you were up to, and then boom! rumors about you using your body to secure deals for me, and I do not want that, I know you do not either." I scolded.

" Yeah, I should have been careful" she said but a glint in her eyes told me she did not regret the encounter one bit.

"So, how was it?" I asked.

"How do you feel when your fantasies become a reality" she asked but it came out as a statement.

"Oooh, sizzling huh?" I asked rhetorically, "that tantalizing feeling, go girl!" I encouraged.

" Yeah, I am sure it's not going to happen again" she said, a feeling of finality seeped through me, I was sure that was the end if the discussion, she would tell me if she really wanted to, but she made no move to do that, so I held myself back, I was not going to ask her, she would tell me in her own time.

" So,my schedule is free for the rest of the day?" I asked.

" Sadly, Yes. I had to clear up time for today, I am not sure if I will be able to do last minute changes anymore" she said and I whooped happily.

" Enjoy it while it lasts though, tomorrow, you will be working your ass off, so I suggest you get some rest and prepare for what is to come tomorrow." She finished, smirking at me.

Damn I'm screwed.

"Well, if I am destined to have no rest tomorrow, then I might as well enjoy myself, while it lasts" I said, making to stand up.

"Yeah, keep me updated okay" She turned her back to me and went to her desk, like I arranged my clothes, I might as well go home and have a change of clothes then maybe go solo and enjoy myself where no one would recognize me, but I knew that was not possible, deny it all I will, the fact remained that I was popular, maybe not as some people, but popular all the same.

I made my way out and jumped into the car, heading in the direction of my house.

When I got there, I was met with a strange sight, someone had tried to get into my house, they had obviously failed, but I could see the scratch marks on the gate as they tried to use whatever tool to puncture it, and open the lock, this place was supposed to have top tier security and was one if the estates reserved for capable people who wanted to lay low, Rosette had even moved out, for whatever reason, then how did this person have access to my house, maybe the person was a neighbor, I had to watch out, if truly someone had tried to get in, then they must have a reason, I only hoped that I was safe, and I knew that I was.

Elena's Pov.

"And you did not see fit to arrange your hair after you were done? A blind person can see from a mile away what you were up to, and then boom! rumors about you using your body to secure deals for me will be everywhere, causing some major scandal to sorround us, and I do not want that, I know you do not either." I scolded, concern laced in my voice.

" Yeah, I should have been careful" she said but a glint in her eye, telling me that she was thinking the exact opposite of what she had been saying, I did not press for further information.
