Elena's Pov.

I sighed, I did not want to admit to Lorenzo that I was tired, the cave was well lit and smelled…. Stony.

As it should.

Lorenzo was holding the torch and guiding me, lighting other torches as we passed, the heat did nothing to subside the cold wetness of the cave. The very fact that this cave was here, it meant that we were treading the right path.

"I told you that we were on the right track." I said to Lorenzo.

" Yeah, you have said that for the past three hours, I get the point you might want to relent now" he said, a hint of a smile at his lips, I scoffed.

" Yeah, so never doubt me again" I added, a jab.

" I will not, if you nag this way when someone doubts you, I most certainly will not" he commented chuckling.

" I do not nag" I said.

"Of course you do not" Sarcasm laced his voice and I gasped.

Dramatically..as usual.

" Is that sarcasm I hear" I held my chest and then rolled my eyes at him.

"It seems you have a good sense of hearing" he said.

"I have a good sense of everything" I countered and he muttered something that I chose not to hear.

Elena's Pov.
