Elena's Pov.

I looked at Azalea's body lying unconscious on the bed, and a shudder passed through me, a tremor that left goosebumps at its wake, she was just lying there, unmoving, her face perfect and peaceful, I hoped and prayed that she would be okay, I had pryed Caleb away and asked him not to inform Tyler or Annette about the happenings, they deserved all the happiness they could find, and their honeymoon had just begun, it was not good to spoil their happiness with this sad news.

I wondered how she has managed to slip from the stairs when she was not even drunk, only one glass of wine was not enough to make Azalea tipsy, I knew this for a fact becay she could hold her drink far better than me, and I was already a tough nut to crack.

Okay maybe not so tough, but a nut all the same.

And I was not even drunk, to think that I had three glasses already and she had one, wait, could someone even get intoxicated by non alcoholic wine? I did not think that was possible. Something was fishy, somehow. I felt like someone had planned to hurt Azalea, but who could it be? I had the feeling that I was being watched back at the wedding, was someone keeping tracks of me and the people I care about? Was I putting them in danger's way?.

Azalea's hand twitched and I rushed toward her, tripping on my gown, and hurriedly standing up to rush towards her, her brow creased, she was back to consciousness, sweat was visible on her brow. I called for the doctor and she came running with a bunch of nurses trailing after her, they did the usual thing they usually did with their stethoscope and gave her a few injections.

" What drugs did you give her?" I asked, worried because I saw her drooping into her bed.

"I just have her a sedative ma'am, do not worry, I suggest you get yourself changed and showered up, you have been in that dress since yesterday" She said kindly, concern evident in her eyes, I shook my head.

"No thanks, I will stay with her till she wakes up again, do not worry about me" I r replied.

" Well, that's fine, I can see you really care about her, get some rest then, she will be asleep for about five to six hours" she explained and I sighed in relief, I was tired, so I headed on to the couch to settle in, I could not get myself to sleep, so I stared at her face, the angle of her head as she slept, her smooth breathing, I realized that I loved my Bestie and did not want to lose her, she had been with me and supported me during my hard times, so when she got out of this bed, I was going to spend a generous amount of time with her, that was for sure.
