“I’ll be checking into the Mayo Clinic next Monday for a bunch of tests. I’m guessing that I’ll know within a few days after that.”
“Well, good luck with that and your trip this afternoon,” she said.
They retrieved Ted from the waiting room and returned to the MARTA station across the street.
“Can we have lunch at the same place we always do?” Ted said.
“That depends on whether or not our flight departs from that concourse,” Chris said. “If it doesn’t, you can pick another place, okay?”
“Okay.”
“Wait a minute. You like food courts at the mall, don’t you, Ted?”
“Sure.”
“As it happens, we’ve got a lot of time to kill somewhere, so why don’t we get off at the Lenox station and visit the food court at Lenox Square. The mall is right across the street from the station.”
“Okay,” Ted said.
