“What tests?” Sarah said.

“The Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test and other tests that the state requires students to take.”

“Oh, the so-called F-CAT,” she said. “It’s a piece of cake really. If you give students a good grounding in the basics, the tests are never a problem.”

“You ladies make it sound so easy,” Chris said.

“It will be easy for us,” Sarah said. “We could probably do it in our sleep after all these years.”

“It will be hard on Ted, though,” Parah said. “We can be stern taskmasters, and he’d have to work hard.”

“I don’t think that’ll be a problem,” Chris said. “Ted loves to read. In fact, he has a book in his hands most of the time. And as far as I can tell, he doesn’t have a problem doing homework.”

“Very good,” Parah said. “Let’s go back out to the porch.”
