Born To Fight

Wilson has a dream to become a pro-wrestler. he goes against his mom's wishes to follow his dream, and he will do anything to become a successful fighter. He does not get into the academy but gets caught in the scandal of various nobles. Then he joins the revolutionaries to rebel against nobles but soon realises he can't give up his dream. Note: This novel is definitely not one of those cultivation type of books the MC is some OP dude, with girls flocking around him and the likes. cos it is simply not one of them. He makes lots of impulsive decisions and is understandably naive. He will only grow stronger as the novel progresses. So, if this doesn't look like what you prefer, at least do not post some annoying reviews. Thanks for understanding.

Chapter 93- Host of the Year Award

Wilson, while thinking and wracking his brain about how he got to the point where his hands had gotten broken and his opponent was already sitting on him, walked out of the underground wrestling platform and straight back to the hospital with Jim and Vox trailing behind him, barely holding in their laughter.

Big Harry wailed in pain as the medics carried him out and tried to soothe him. He spat out curses in-between his loud expression of pain and despair, not knowing that his heavy punch to Wilson's head was what had successfully woken him up from his conscious-unconscious state.

Later on, when Dr Hippo discovered that one could get rid of his ability's side effect that way, he began carrying earth-reinforced bats around in his storage bracelet and would frequently give instructions like:

"Okay, I'm done! When he wakes up, just whack his head with this bat at the first sign of his eyes losing focus. That will do the trick!"

Most people did not understand why but they, out of respect for the director, did it all the same. Pitifully enough, for the patients, it worked hundred percent of the time. One just had to whack them real hard a couple times, and it really did the trick.

**********

The next day, Horr and Bar went together to the hospital to visit the "once-again-hospitalised Wilson'. He was recuperating well and Horr looked at him excitedly.

"Wilson, my man!" Horr entered into the sparkly clean, moderate-sized room and greeted Wilson in excitement, grinning so much, it looked like his lips would rip wider apart like 'the Joker's.

Wilson looked at Horr and then at Bar who stood outside the room, holding the door to keep it open, while waiting patiently outside the room; and nodded in greeting as he remained laid down on the same hospital bed in the private room he had been taken care of the previous day.

The hospital had clearly marked him as a special guest ever since the legendary Director had used his ability on him. Only if they knew that the reason Wilson's thinking faculty had shut down in the first place was due to the same ability they had immortalised; who knew how they would feel.

"Where are Vox and Jim?" Bar chipped in a question before Horr could go into business mode.

"They said they were going to get me some weapons to assist me in my next fights." Wilson explained.

"Oh? You are still coming back?" Horr asked, his eyebrows raised and his smile long gone from his face.

"Should I not?" Wilson asked; skeptical. He did not think he did anything that would hinder him from wrestling again. At least, he did remember them telling him that anything goes in the underground platform. So, biting one's manhood shouldn't be against the rules. Right?

"No, no, no! You can and you should! I would be glad if you did."On the contrary, it excited Horr to know that Wilson would appear again. He was quick to give an explanation for his change in countenance, though.

"You see I am just wondering if you would be in a good enough shape to bring that same madness from last night into the ring again."

"When is the next match?" Wilson asked.

"Once every week,on Sundays; The same day as yesterday. The official, televised matches will also begin same time at nine!

"How was my hosting? Amazing, right? Do you think I have a chance to win this year?" Horr suddenly changed topics.

"Win?" Wilson asked and looked towards Bar for any possible hints.

Horr materialized a piece of paper out of thin air. It startled Wilson and the way Horr vigorously shook it in the air and then stuffed it in his face made him a little freaked out.

On the paper read 'Host of the Year Award.'

"Horr has been trying to win this award for seven years now." Barr explained from the same position as earlier; by the door, right outside the room. Who knows why he refused to enter? He looked at ease for someone who seemed a bit in a hurry earlier.

Wilson looked at the paper and back at Horr.

"I don't know." He answered sincerely.

"What do you mean?" Horr asked, his face expressing both confusion and disappointment.

"I don't know much about hosting, so I cannot give you a sincere review. All I can say is that you were exciting to listen to." Wilson said. It put a grin on Horr's wide face.

"Really? I thought so too when I watched me this morning. The book must be working."

"What book?" Bar asked Horr.

"A book I bought. it was titled: 'How To Become A Great Host!'. Written by Joe Tiger." Horr explained but Wilson and Bar had no idea who the writer was.

"Joe Tiger?" Bar asked.

"Yes! Joe Tiger!" Horr repeated, looking at Bar as if expecting him to know this Joe. Bar shook his head.

"Still doesn't ring a bell?" Horr pressed on.

"No!" Bar shook his head.

"You... how could you forget just like that?" Horr looked hurt and pouted. It looked kind of funny; a fearful looking giant giving such a face.

"Sorry." Bar apologized. "I really don't."

Horr gave up and sighed.

"Check him out if you want. I am not going to keep describing my host hero to you each and everytime I mention his name."

Horr walked out of the room and as he passed by Bar, he whispered: "How can you not remember such greatness? I really am disappointed in you."

Wilson could not help but chuckle. A let-down Horr was quite cute. Like a pained little girl trying to act matured.

Bar glanced at the departing Horr and turned back to Wilson.

"Get some more rest. Horr will foot this bill because of the great ratings your insane move pulled. I am going back to my bar. I don't trust Vox to run it for the whole day without ending up on someone's emotional blacklist, If you know what I mean!" Bar told Wilson and promptly closed the door. He walked briskly, leaving for his famous bar; Barnes Bar. He really did not trust Vox to keep his tendencies in check.
