He does not get into the academy but gets caught in the scandal of various nobles. Then he joins the revolutionaries to rebel against nobles but soon realises he can't give up his dream. Note: This novel is definitely not one of those cultivation type of books the MC is some OP dude, with girls flocking around him and the likes. cos it is simply not one of them. He makes lots of impulsive decisions and is understandably naive. He will only grow stronger as the novel progresses. So, if this doesn't look like what you prefer, at least do not post some annoying reviews. Thanks for understanding.

Chapter 117- A Tracking Expert.

*pew* *pew* *pew*

Three bullets out of Charlie's gun hit the last of the trio, right in the skull. As if mocking him, Charlie had shot the bullets in a way that they formed a triangle.

Charlie snickered and looked at Wilson.

"Sh*t!" He cursed. Wilson was in a terrible, terrible shape.

Charlie ran over to the unconscious Wilson. His pulse was low. Without wasting time, he took out a low level potion from his ring and forced the gelatinous liquid down Wilson's throat. After which he took out his jetpack once more and carrying Wilson princess-style, soared straight for the skies. Time to bounce.

*************

Dash ran for his life. He had made a costly mistake. He had thought she was someone else until it was too late and almost got killed because she had noticed him. He did not take into account the chances of a traveller being a part of this hunt and now a sonar specialist from an entirely different kingdom was hot on his ass merely because of a variable he should have thought of. Truly, that was very careless of him.

The sonar specialist's abilities had picked him up so quickly, it made him feel embarrassed. But, not all was bad. At least, she - the sonar specialist - in a bid to get the target, was no more anywhere near the tree where sleepyhead Sofia was cooped up in and that was really fortunate because Sofia woke up barely five minutes after the sonar specialist went after her big brother Dash.

Dash constantly looked around at the trees, grumbling and lamenting as he ran in a bid to escape the hot pursuit.

'Who the f*ck is this woman?' He asked himself. Meeting a strange face when he thought otherwise was a really shocking experience for him.

'How is she even able to keep up?' He wondered. As far as he could tell, she wasn't using any speed abilities. Probably didn't have any but she somehow managed to stay on his tail since the beginning of the hunt which was almost twenty minutes ago.

He looked behind him but saw no one.

"Aah... aah... Who the f*ck was that bitch? Where the hell did she come from anyway?" He took in a deep breath and let it out all at once.

"Damn, I am exhausted."

He had every reason to be. Running at full speed for twenty minutes straight and with all the pressure that came from knowing that one of the many agents of death was following behind him, it was already amazing that he had managed to run for up to twenty minutes.

He sat down heavily with his back on the big tree he was looking for but stayed at alert. He was not out of the woods yet and he knew it. That woman was definitely somewhere near. That was what his gut feelings told him.

The sonar specialist ran at a leisurely pace. With her hearing ability and her experience using it, she could easily be called a tracking expert. As long as one made the slightest sound or had a heartbeat, they could be found by her. So, even though Dash had escaped, she knew it was only a matter of time before she picked up something on him. After all, the heartbeat of a speedster was inherently different from all others.

*click*

She heard something from underneath the ground, right below her.

With unprecedented speed, she took a step to the right and a trap sprung up right beside her.

*Clang*

She looked down at the trap and sniggered.

"What poverty-stricken amateur hunter still uses these things?" She wondered. Such ancient mechanisms. No wonder she heard it activate and and still missed her. It was good for her though. If it had been one of the latest inventions, she, regardless of whether she heard it activate or not, would not have Ben able to avoid being trapped.

*vrrrrrrrrr...*

She had a droning sound from her right, about two hundred meters out. It came from the skies.

"A drone?" She said curiously. "What kind of rich man's son came hunting?"

She walked in the direction of the sound.

"I will just take a little detour and seize what I can from the spoilt brat." She muttered to herself, referring to the rich man's son -which she was not even sure existed - as the brat.

As she got closer, she realised that the drone was coming towards her at high speed and it was slowly rising to the skies at the same time.

"Hehe! Noob! Can't even handle the drone properly." She said, obviously delusional.

Who knew what made her assume the droning sound was from a drone handled by a noob rich kid with lofty bounty hunting dreams.

She took out her customized rifle; a third generation 'Rocket launcher-Assault rifle' - 'RoLAR' for short - weapon that could alternate between explosives and magic reinforced or mana bullets.

Soon enough, she realised how wrong she was.

"Wait. Is that a jetpack?" She asked herself, "Wow. I want it."

She aimed her gun at the slowly ascending jetpack and shot the rider.

*Bang*

The bullet flew in the air. It hit.

A body dropped to the ground but the jetpack kept moving upwards. Infact, it increased by n speed exponentially, aiming for the clouds.

Suddenly, it served down just as she pulled the trigger a second time. The bullet missed but the sonar specialist was not too concerned. She could hear the heartbeat of the person that dropped. that must have been the rider. His heartbeat was really slow. That meant that the person was dying.

She saw the jetpack dropping at high speed and calculated that it would land nearby.

"In that case, let's get rid of the owner first." She said and ran towards the area Wilson fell.
