"I will touch the stars... or die trying." ==================== Note: NO R-18, R**e, Romance or pre-marital handholding. I take no pleasure in writing such things. There's a bunch of killing and gruesome descriptions though. The novel is a bit slow in the first chapters, but after that, it picks up and gets significantly better. Also, the power system is similar to BotDS, but I've asked the author for permission to use it. It's also heavily inspired my writing, but the beginning is where its most prevalent. Vigilante

Liam raised a brow as he heard that name.

Adjudicator meant someone who judged between people.

That somewhat explained why Liam felt so guilty under her sunken eyes.

It was as though he was being judged for all the crimes he'd committed.

'That's a long list,' Liam thought. 'I wonder what her Path allows her to do.'

"Do you know her personally?" Liam asked Spirit of Nature.

"No," she responded, then glared a little at Liam. "You're asking too many questions, little boy. Don't think I don't notice your intentions."

Liam gave her a sunny, innocent smile.

Spirit of Nature shook her head, leaning backwards.

"She's just a mythical figure that appears now and again."

"I heard that despite her looks, she's a just, albeit strict person that judges between major world disputes if it gets to that point."

"A lookout for the weak, sort of thing."

Liam furrowed his brows. "That doesn't make sense."
