Chapter 1

So my name is Liam. I am a hunter, my primary weapon is a sword. I can passably use a bow and maybe knife. This is how i met Noah The Battlemage, The Assassin's Bane, The defender of Mantua, The Father of Modern Magic, fuck it, he is The Legend. The biggest hero of all hero. And he was standing there, in front of me, and i froze like an idiot.

Maybe i should start from the beggining.

I was located in Rookie town, actually the town's name is Lombardy. It is surounded by four big cities only a day's walk away. So there were not much big monster to hunt around here. The biggest ever was a lost 'giant spider' 30 years ago. A lot of rookie hunter started their carrier here. So, 'Rookie Town'. Those rookie who was strong started here and moved on to another big city for bigger challenge, those were not much stayed here, like me.

A few days before i met The Hero, there was a report about a nest of 'giant mantis'. Now one giant mantis was still ok for me. But a nest? I need a team. And in rookie town, there is only rookies and a not much hunter like me. Hell, in this town, the competent people are only me and my senior Oliver who i peg to be one hundred by now and not much active anymore.

I set up my table in the guild hall, ready to accept any rookies i can get. I'd been sitting there for half a day accepted several rookies with at least 3 gig on their belt, when a couple hunter approached me.

The man was using a spear with a unique red streak on it's blade, and the very stunning beautifull woman has a quiver full of colourfull feathered arrows. Now people might say that the 'spear' was an indication that i was looking at a hero, and the beautifull woman beside the man was the doule confirmation of it. But there were a lot of impostor in the world, and i wasn't going to fall for any of that.

The man approached my table, 'I am here to join the giant mantis nest mission'.

And i goes like 'Name?', preparing to wrote their name without looking up.

'Noah and Olivia.'

And my pen stopped in the air, i looked up, 'You serious?'

'Very', says the man

'I'm gonna need your hunter card' i said, and they present their card. I touched them, and the magic confirmed it was them, the hero, THE BIG FUCKING HERO, in front of me.

I frozed up like an idiot, probably forgot to breathed too.
