Bondrewd, a new beginning

What we know about Bondrewd from the epic "Created in the Abyss" - scientist, genius, "father of the year" and a lot of positive and not so positive qualities. Making this character extremely curious against the background of crowds of schoolchildren and other characters as bland as cardboard. After another "successful" experiment "Lord of Dawn" died, this time finally, and got into a new world, with a clear goal - to save the world, Will Bondrewd be able to save the world, will his attitude to life change, will he get a harem... maybe yes, maybe no. Read it and give me feedback. Postscriptum: this is the author's first work, so don't hit me, at least not hard.

The Big "Boom."

All hell broke loose for Bondrewd, a whole crowd - all his old acquaintances with their retinues unceremoniously broke into his chambers. "Dick, you brute you've left me to my fate."

Bondrewd thought while the Royal Read and the guild leaders were showering him with thanks and compliments, each assuring him that they were rooting for his recovery, and then Bondrewd saw Princess Lina for the first time - a pretty, short blonde with a slim waist and eyes so big they looked like they could drown. She greeted him in a curtsy and after a few small words she was forced to leave, the guests were obviously cramped in this small room, and if you take into account that they could not stand each other, the situation became critical.

There were many times when he wanted to blaze the whole crowd of clingers with the Gunwave, but to his chagrin he was too weak to even pick up the helmet from the bedside table, let alone use it. The feast of idiocy never seemed to end, for the sick are usually entitled to presents and gifts, but in Lord of Dawn's case, no one was stingy with the gifts, their cost, or, more importantly, their quantity. A string of servants, wading through the crowd of the same poor people dragged into the room whole bundles of goodies: gold, fine clothes and fabrics, precious stones, works of art, magical artefacts, books, and none of the visitors certainly did not forget about food.

All sorts of rare fruits, exquisite dishes and desserts, expensive wines. - All this stuff was dragged into the room, and when there was no room left at all, the servants piled it all in the corridor. "Judging by the quantity of things, they have all agreed to move to Ritor's house, I wonder if the interest-bearer himself is aware of it." Bondrewd asked himself, trying for a moment to distract himself from the cacophony of sycophantic voices. Several hours had passed, and the uninvited guests were still not going to shut up or, better yet, go home. Lord of Dawn had had enough of this and, gathering his strength, shouted at the top of his voice.

"Get out of here, wait in the corridor, and come in one at a time, your shouting is giving me a headache! "Bondrewd with difficulty finished, and from his mouth thin streams of blood flowed, his lungs literally burned with fire, and the picture before his eyes fell. The expression of all present turned first grey in an instant, then pale once more, and finally pink. Bowing in apology, the crowd left the room.

"Ugh, what idiots, and why didn't I do that in the first place?" Marvelling at his own shortsightedness, Bondrewd waited a moment for the ringing in his ears to stop and shouted.

"Aivina come in!" The door opened at the same moment, and the girl flew like a butterfly into the room. She was dressed in the most provocative way possible: a thin, exquisite dress with open shoulders and a deep neckline that let everyone enjoy her form so openly.

"Yes, Lord Bondrewd». Aivina said quietly and sat down on the chair next to him, bending over so well that her breasts seemed about to pop out of her dress. Lord of Dawn mentally punched his facepalm, but realising that the head of the trade guild would not rest just like that said.

"Aivina sit up straight, do I look like a person who is interested in anything but peace," the girl's face instantly distorted in a grimace of endless sadness and sorrow.

"Better tell me, how is our plan going?" The question was like a blow under the breath for her, and she, confused, began to babble some nonsense about the difficulties and the situation in the city. - and that's when Bondrewd finally learnt what real rage is.

Then everything went on the same way, he launched a man, and after a brief and very picturesque excursion why he could not fulfil his part of the plan, Bondrewd went off on them, and having frightened each of them to a complete loss of condition, he finished the plan anew, giving even tighter deadlines for its execution. In this way he passed through Aivina and Avitus, a couple of grey officials, the head of the secret police, even though he had seen him for the first time in his life, but Bondrewd considered it his sacred duty to tell the man off for the lawlessness going on in the city. Even Mira, with whom there was no agreement at all, had been caught in the act, but Mira had reminded him of this in time, and the Lord had reduced his hatred and began to discuss the plan with her.

The guests left Ritor's house, a look of slight anxiety on their faces, not only because they had to act together, but also because it appeared that Bondrewd could tear the damn city apart in anger.

...

The next week, Lord of Dawn spent like a vegetable in a bed - just lying there. As soon as he was able to hold a quill, his orders came one by one, even though his status was still uncertain, even the last rat in the city realised that they were not to be ignored.

Bondrewd was busy with everything, drawing blueprints, giving orders and instructions, and even taking time out to read books, mostly on magic. The messengers were scurrying around the city like ants in anthills, and Ritor, Grim, and Dick had forgotten what the word sleep simply meant.

He even contacted Audita a couple of times, and learnt a lot - after the famous events, the gods were in complete confusion, which gradually turned into rage. Audita was quite successful in accumulating their outrage and gathering a divine assembly "I managed to get most of the local deities on our side." The guardian proudly summarised, even if she did not mention that if it were not for Mina's help, the attempt to gather all the gods together would have been doomed to imminent failure, with only three remaining in opposition: the God of the Dead Him, the God of Darkness Shani, and the God of Madness Bron, but this madman could never be agreed upon.

A month passed at this pace, and at last the long-awaited moment came, Bondrewd was on his feet. He did not hesitate to call his "subordinates" to him and ask them for their successes and difficulties. The lord himself actively studied the properties of various artefacts and took magic lessons from Mira. The girl literally glowed with happiness every time she entered his chambers. And each time, once again, she could not hold back her curiosity and bombarded Lord of Dawn with questions. Which he struggled to fend off. The man waited with trepidation for hour x to arrive.

Another month and a half passed

...

Bondrewd rode out of town, followed by a string of wagons and servants, everything was ready. The man had already fully recovered and looked confidently into tomorrow. Three hours later he was in place, with a slight delay behind him came Avitus, Ivina and Mira.

"Greetings, today is a great day, I thank you for your efforts to fulfil our common goal, and now you will have the pleasure of seeing the fruits of your labours."

There was a slight confusion on the faces of all three, each of them was doing his part diligently, but no one knew the big picture. Bondrewd did not want to prolong the intrigue and dropped the cloth covering their "victory". Approaching the first exhibit, he began his excursion.

"In front of you now is a drum carbine with a magic bullet!" Proudly reported Bondrewd, the kingdom already had muskets, and they proved their effectiveness, and the genius scientist had a lot of ideas how to make it better.

"But it is better to see once than to hear a hundred times," Bondrewd raised his carbine and fired six shots at a distant tree. Each bullet flew precisely into the target, and the hits tore out whole pieces of bark and pulp. The faces of those present stretched in a grimace of surprise.

"How could it be so?" Avitus cried out, the two ladies supported him, and all three of them opened their mouths in amazement. And seeing this the Lord of Dawn smirked "that's the reaction I expected".

Bondrewd quickly walked over to the second thing, it looked like a small pipe, with holes in both sides, the Lord took a strange cone shaped projectile from the table and shoved it into the muzzle, got down on his knee and fired. The very loud pop was painful to the ears, and slightly accustomed to all present could not believe their eyes, the projectile instantly travelled to a large rock and crashing into it tore it into a heap of rubble.

"How come, how come?" "How does this even work?" "Unbelievable". There was no limit to the amazement of the powerful, but Bondrewd was not going to stop.

"And now, let me present to you the "long arm" of our power." The cloth came off the cart and a strange construction was revealed to the audience, made of steel bars, on which lay cone-shaped projectiles similar to the previous one, only bigger.

"And now enjoy the spectacle," Under the astonished gaze of the observers, Bondrewd turned the rig and lit the wicks, a thin string caught fire and the light ran along its route, the length of the cords was different, but thanks to the route laid out for them, they reached the place almost simultaneously.

"Whoo, Whoo, Whoo, Whoo" - The rockets launched, with a deafening whoosh, a couple of seconds later the projectiles disappeared into the clouds, only to emerge from the clouds 10 seconds later and hit a distant mountain. The observers simply fell silent, the strength to wonder was gone.

Seeing no reason to wait, Bondrewd unveiled his latest masterpiece, the cloth fell away and revealed to the world a huge five metre long pipe on a huge carriage, its muzzle could easily be entered by a man of full height, its walls shimmered with countless lights, the surrounding people had the impression that the mechanism itself was a receptacle of magic of immense power.

"Now, ladies and gentlemen, please take cover." Bondrewd said and lit a long almost metre long wick, the observers had already moved behind one of the carts, Bondrewd first rushed towards them, but for some reason he stopped, the king and ladies cautiously poked their heads out of the carriage and watched Bondrewd, who just stood and looked in their direction.

"Lord Bondrewd" Aivina was about to rush towards the lord, but Avitus' strong hand grabbed her and pulled her back.

Lord of Dawn spread his hands apart, he felt the triumph of his intellect about to show itself. And then it was over, all sound was drowned out by an incredible rumble, the equivalent of which no one present had ever heard. A wave of impenetrable dust rushed towards them. The last thing the powers that be saw was Lord Bondrewd against the backdrop of a huge and incredibly bright purple mushroom cloud.
