Aurora, Aurora

POV: Princess Aurora of Ka

"Ah," my eyes sealed shut from the crust left behind by the sun.

My body hot, my leg pulsing with pain. I could smell the sour sweat of a person carrying my limp body with no regard for my safety.

Too scared to open my eyes. What if a feral pack of men had kidnapped me? Oh god, what if Keeda was serious and sold me to the other mercenaries in our argument! No, no, she wouldn't do that. She loves me.

I reassured myself, I might have caused a a slight stir, but she's going to marry me in a week! Everything is fine. Bugs fly around me. What am I even laying on?

Soft jelly under my hands, I open my eyes, screaming! "DEAD BODIES" I fell off the pile, "Well, looks like someone made it out alive.

Want to explain to me what happened here?" A bossy girl stood over me, shoving her finger in my face. "I don't know, do you know where my father is? I have to go home! If you help me get home, he will reward you handsomely!" Her slicked back ponytail was very unflattering for her features. I could tell her hair was pretty.

Only if she had let it down, shameful really. She scoffed at me, "I'm not in the business of helping spoiled little rich girls get home to daddy," kicking dirt at me while walking away to collect more bodies. Did she not hear me correctly? Did she not know who I was?

I stood up, only to fall again; grabbing my limb while the injury shot up my back, cramping my muscles. I was trapped in a tight lock, unable to move.

The angry ponytail ran over to me, "Don't move," her hands leaning over my leg. That's when I saw it, a little dazzle of sunshine sparkling on the prettiest ruby hanging from her neck. Magic sparkled from her fingertips, healing my wound so I wouldn't bleed to death.

As she should! The thought of her giving me that necklace wouldn't disappear from my mind. I couldn't even feel the pain as a terrible sleep started to drift over my thoughts.

I couldn't be a pretty princess if I didn't have her a necklace too. My eyes adjusted to a dark carriage. How this thing manage to stay together amazed me.

My eyes observing every inch of the old wood, I touched it in disbelief. She must've been quite wealthy to have an entire carriage made out of wood.

Perhaps she would just give me her necklace. I stared at my toes wiggling them, The heat still completely unbearable. "Where are we going???" I shouted.

Knowing someone would tend to me soon. Nothing happened, The carriage never came to a stop. "Where are we going???" I spoke louder perhaps her ponytail was too tight and her brain wasn't functioning properly.

To my dismay, still nothing. I wonder if she would even care if I jumped out of the moving carriage to my death to get her attention!

I grabbed the worn out cloth wrapped around the carriage frame, tearing it open to reveal her directing a single horse! I don't understand her.

A single horse was she wealthy or not!? "Where are we going" I shouted at her again for a final time. She turned around in complete shock like I had done something wrong.

With a sudden pull of the reins, the horse stopped, " have you lost your mind?" she looked at me. "Do you know how long it'll take me to fix that?"

I believe she was angry with me by her tone. The audacity from this women. I couldn't stand her, nothing like my Keeda but still very attractive with her domineering personality.

She walked around to the back of the carriage, continuing to argue with me. "What the hell do you want? You should appreciate the fact that I am taking you as far as I'm going to" she blatantly said to me "taking me as far as you're going to? what in the world does that even mean?" I responded. " It means I'm going to drop you off in the next free territory that we come across, and you should shut up and be grateful that I am at least doing you this favor" her finger once again in my face. I was speechless.

No one had ever spoken to me this way! What was I to even do in a situation like this?! I sat there pouting; looking at a pile of bloody blades and weapons. .

Alongside was a tiny little dagger, that fit perfectly into the palm of my hand. How dare she scold me and walk away as if I was nothing.

Without a second thought I grabbed her by her ponytail. Clutching the dagger in hand and slitting her throat from behind her. Her hands scraping at her pusling wound, I pulled her head back farther to watch the cut tear.

I didn't need her to take me home, when I could just take her horse. The life leaving her eyes I pushed her down into the dirt stepping on her body to get to the stallion that awaited me. Remembering the pretty little necklace that she wore, I reached out gently, undoing in the clasp. Staring at her lifeless ugly body, "I take it back you're not attractive like my Keeda, I'd never be able to kill her" mounting the horse, I headed for home! With a brand new ruby necklace to add to my collection.

I hadn't been riding on the horse for many hours and I was already completely exhausted. My body. My beautiful body, covered in blood.

My silk clothes stained, and my beautiful jewels some of them broken. Perhaps I was too hasty in my decision to kill the old owner of this necklace that my fingertips played with. Taking the necklace off, I wrapped it up and tucked inside of a little pocket next to my breast.

Just in case any of her friends were to greet me before I arrived home. My legs quaked. It had been so long since I had ridden a horse.

Dehydrated and tired, I slid off, hitting the ground with a loud thud. The air left my chest, my throat struggling to breathe from the fall.

My body couldn't maintain itself any longer. I fell into a deep sleep. Why couldn't I be strong like Keeda? My thoughts drifting. Why couldn't I be like her?

Be worthy of her.
