Chapter 23 : Team V!

Team Z and Team V entered the field together as they got into their formation, Isagi glanced toward them, He looked at the main players of Team V, Although he had been seeing them on the footage but seeing them face-to-face felt different, These players are going to be part of the top 20 players in NEL after all

Isagi got into his position, Bachira had been glancing at him to which he replied with a nod, It's that he and Bachira didn't link up that much in previous matches, Bachira wanted to be a part of Isagi's play this time

Team V began the kick-off, Reo holding onto the ball faced Kira, Kira wasn't easy to get past since the number of times Isagi had gotten past him in training gave him enough experience to defend against Reo

Isagi noticed Nagi running into their half, He crossed the Mid-Field and reached the defense line, Fortunately, Raichi complied with Isagi's command and man-marked him

Reo got past Kira and started glancing at his passing options, He saw Nagi getting pushed around by Raichi, Since the path was blocked he made a pass to Zantetsu on his right

Zantetsu ran to trap the ball while getting past Naruhaya, As he trapped the ball he saw Chigiri closing onto him, He kicked the ball behind Chigiri and ran after it

"Huh...?"

"Nice pass, Dumbass!"

Unfortunately for him, Raichi got there to receive the ball, The second he saw Reo sending the ball to Zantetsu he ran to mark him to help in stealing the ball, Luckily for Raichi, He didn't have to do anything to steal the ball as Zantetsu just passed it to him

Raichi passed the ball to Isagi, All according to plan, Isagi as soon as saw Raichi leaving Zantetsu moved to mark Nagi

With the ball being cleared Isagi started his run towards the front and Raichi didn't hold it on to him and passed right away

Isagi was satisfied with the way formation was flowing all according to plan, It's mainly possible because of Isagi and Raichi's unbelievable endurance, Though Isagi wasn't expecting this strategy to work till the end of the match since Reo would eventually find a way to counter it, However, Now it's working and he is going to use to its limit

Isagi came face to face with Reo, Reo already aware of Isagi's dribbling ability didn't start with any aggressive play and kept his distance while blocking the most threatening passing routes, He also wanted to test himself against Isagi, A player with great composure

Isagi not knowing Reo's thoughts didn't entertain him and started with a pass, Reo was aware of this passing route and decided it was a most threatening one and stood his ground in front of it

However, Isagi took it as a challenge and made a curved through pass in the front, The ball went past Reo and went to the only player beside Isagi who would cut open their defense all on his own

"You want to play right? Don't disappoint me now, Monster!"

It was Meguru Bachira, He wasn't sure that the pass would come to him this early and was excited by Isagi's choice

Bachira had to run at his highest to get that ball, After he trapped the ball he understood that Isagi didn't make a mistake in sending this pass ahead, since if Bachira hadn't given his all the ball would've gone out of bounds

Isagi's pass was a challenge for him, To test his abilities and resolve

"HA! You are an Egoist Afterall, Isagi!"

Bachira said with excitement, He started his run and on his way, he faced 2 Defenders which didn't matter to him as Bachira was in a rampage mode

"Block his path!"

Reo instructed while running back, He was amazed by Isagi's pass, The Curve, Spin, and Trajectory, Everything was perfect, and it was all decided by Isagi in a matter of seconds

He could envision the things Nagi would do if he could perform these passes himself

While moving up front to stop the attack from Team Z, Reo glanced back and saw Isagi, Isagi didn't move from his spot after making that pass, He had already done his job and now he only had to wait for the results

He wanted to put his trust in these players, The game was turning up as the front three attackers of Team Z got more players joining them

Chigiri ran with his top speed to attract Bachira's attention to score, Naruhaya moved in the middle and made his run to a suitable position where he could score from, Raichi also made a run leaving Nagi open

Others wanted to do the same which Isagi let happen and ran back to mark Nagi just in case, Igaguri while running noticed this and was amazed by this

He thought Isagi was lying in the Video room about go wild but he meant it, He was going to let them wreck Team V while he supported them from the back, Igaguri felt immense respect towards Isagi and turned to Team V's goal and ran with all his might to make something of himself

It was a parting gift from Isagi to Team Z, Only a few of them would make it as it won't be going the way it went in the Manga, There was a possibility that more of these would get eliminated in the 2nd Selection

While Isagi was taking a look at these strikers running ahead of him, Bachira got through the last defensive line and was about to face Goalie in one-on-one

"Behind you, Bachira!"

As Bachira made the shooting motion, Reo ran from the back and made a sliding tackle to steal the ball

"Ah, You're a little late though"

Bachira though didn't lose his composure and made a heel pass on his left, Kira positioned himself there to get any rebounds but got a pass instead, Kira didn't disappoint Bachira and shot the ball in the back of the net

Team Z took the lead against Team V in 3 Minutes

"The hell...!"

Reo was on the ground as he failed to tackle Bachira, He wasn't expecting this offense to be this fast, Not only was their offense stopped, but their defense was also obliterated in shambles by Team Z

He thought that they were a strategic team since that's how they have been in all of their matches, But against them, Although there is a strategy for defense, There's no strategy for offense

Team Z was on a rampage

"So you don't need a strategy to beat us, I will make you regret that decision!"
