COMPETING

"Boys, I really need your help with this" said Coach Michael as he opened the file.

The file had the words 'Athletic Games Conference' written on it, as Coach Michael explained to us.

"The AGC or Athletic Games Conference is nothing as its name suggests, it is a ruthless competition of the Coaches, although the Coaches do not involve themselves in the competition the results reflect the best Coaches in the world" said Coach Michael as he paused.

"So, we'll be the ones competing" said Enri as he looked at Coach Michael for confirmation.

"Yes, it's been a couple of years since I last produced a talented athlete, at least before I met you guys" he said as he glanced at us, "It's an equally ruthless competition even for those competing, the whole Conference is not something to take lightly all the top companies involved in the sports business will be there not to even mention how high profile the Conference is" he said as he took a brief pause, "Not just anybody can attend the Conference, you need to receive an invitation to the Conference or you'll never be able to attend"

"How are you so sure that we can even matchup with experts that have been training their whole lives for this one moment?" asked Grey.

"Yes, I don't think we'll be able to beat them all" I said, although I want to help Coach Michael we were still students and we didn't major in sports, so how were we supposed to cope with school and competing, it was already hard enough for the guys I can't possibly drag them into another mess.

"I know you guys are concerned about school since you guys are do not have Sports as your major" said Coach Michael, "but I can talk to the school to make an exception with you guys" He said.

"Coach, it's not just that, we still have lots of things to do other than school" I said as I saw Grey and Enri were trying struggling with how to refuse the offer.

"Coach if it was any other thing I'm sure we would not hesitate to help you but this…"

"It's okay, I understand you boys, well at least I tried my best to convince you all" said Coach Michael smiling as he tried to assure us. "I've got this" he said as he put the file back into his drawer.

We stood up to leave his office, although we left I was sure that Grey and Enri were bothered because they were not able to help Coach Michael with his problem, they both felt like they could not do anything about it, they wanted to get stronger so that they would be able to help him.

"Hey, you guys don't have to be too bothered by it" I said as we exited the room.

"I feel bad man; Coach Michael has been so good to us" said Enri.

"Yeah, I want to help him but you know with the whole school stuff my hands are tied" said Grey.

"I understand, I want to help him but if I think about the big picture I don't think I can't" I said. In all seriousness I really believed I could not help Coach Michael, it was hard training not to mention classes as a whole although Blue provided a massive help with simplifying the things taught at school, I still had to worry about Greys and Enri's study not to even mention saving the world which involved saving myself as well.

"So, what did you guys talk about?" asked Jeffrey as we arrived at the waiting area.

"It's nothing" answered Grey.

"Ok, let's go see to that challenge" replied Jeffrey confidently.

"I bet you won't be that lively after our Coach gives you the test" said Enri laughing.

"Well stop talking and get your Coach" said Jeffrey.

"Who's looking for me?" asked Coach Michael as he entered the waiting area.

"Him" said Grey and Enri pointing at Jeffrey as if they had a tacit agreement, I could not help but pity him at that moment.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Coach Michael" he said, "You are?" he asked.

"I'm Jeffrey, a friend of theirs" he said as he shook Coach Michaels hands smiling.

"Are you in or out?" asked Coach Michael.

The moment Coach Michael asked this question inside we could not help but truly feel sorry although I wished Grey or Enri would warn him I knew they would absolutely do anything to make him regret his decision today.

"Hahaha… I'm in" answered Jeffrey laughing.

Grey and Enri could not help but burst out laughing at him uncontrollably, I could not help truly feel for Jeffrey at this point.

"My rules remain the same once you're in there's no going back" said Coach Michael.

"What?" asked Jeffrey.

"I feel really sorry for you man" I said as I walked patted him on his shoulder.

"Why would you feel sorry for me? What's wrong?" he asked.

"There's nothing wrong right now" said Enri as he laughed while walking towards the training room.
