SILAS' POV 

Lucky!!

That was the only way to describe what had happened. Niko has commanded me to rush to the Enforcer office as one of the men in the inner court reported that Cedric was about to be punished by Enforcer Waren because he had discovered that he had sneaked out of the quarters last night.

The whip hit Cedric as I stood outside Enforcer Waren's door and my beast rose and was ready to draw blood. He wanted Enforcer Waren's head and I held back, composing myself and reminding myself what Niko had commanded me to do. 

After slapping Enforcer Waren, I walked to Guardian Lenora's office and stood staring out into the castle yard, to compose myself before Cedric, Fabian and her walked in.

Spending time with Cedric made my cock hard and my hunger rise. By the time I strolled majestically out of Guardian Lenora's office and back to the inner chambers my body was already on the verge of unsated desire.

Once the chamber doors closed, Niko and Toten rushed to me demanding an explanation of what happened. They had sent messages through our mind link but since it was urgent I had locked them out and handled the situation.

" He is safe. Cedric is safe" I stated.

" What the fuck happened ?" Niko pulled me over and we all sat down. 

" First and foremost we need to change the guards in the inner court. There seems to be a spy that spotted Cedric" I announced. 

" Shit" Niko cursed. 

" Have Guardian Elanor ensure the guards in the inner court are all loyal to us. " I seethed. 

" What else " Talon's voice was laced with impatience.

" That fucking Waren whipped Cedric. " I muttered. 

" What ?" Niko stood up eyes blazing red and his claws elongated. 

"Calm down brother. Our little slave is no pushover. He stood stoic when he was whipped and never showed a sign of weakness. I know that he is bruised by the scent of blood coming from him. I barely held on to being close to him and had to rush out after being alone with him for ten minutes" I heaved a sigh.

" You barely held on ?" Talon smirked. 

" My beast rose to the surface by the mere scent of the blood on his wounds. " I defended myself and Talon chuckled. 

" That brat never wants to show any weakness. But our coven is always out for anyone's weakness and if left to them they would torture him to death " Niko pointed out. 

" I suggest we ask Guardian Lenora to add more guards around him for his protection. Guard that will not betray us" I spoke up. 

" That is a good idea. " Talon nodded. " Is there anything else you want to share ?" 

" Talon, you have a bad habit " I snapped at him.

" I do. Now tell me what else happened ?" Talon insisted.

" I might have gone overboard and pressed a kiss to his ear" I raised my chin defiantly.

The action made both Niko and Talon burst out laughing and I realized that they were just teasing me. 

" Calm down Silas. Cedric belongs to the three of us. We need to devise a way of protecting him without raising the eyebrows of the Coven." Niko patted my shoulder.

" Mmh" I rubbed my chin and then added, " Did the book the old crazy man Maxwell give you barely any fruits?" 

" Yes and No. It mentions that there are witches from the Old Ages. Older than the coven and it seems they have special powers. Maxwell pointed out a woman witch as one of the persons who signed the Paktum. Her lineage would be still strong and he suspects that Cedric is from her lineage and that is why his mind is impenetrable. The only thing I can hear is his thoughts. " 

" Why is it only you that can hear his thoughts ?" Talon asked.

" Relax brother. We each have our special powers" I pointed out.

" He is only voicing his thoughts. I also have no idea why. But I kept thinking I can link our minds so that we can all hear his thoughts" Niko stated.

" Now that is more like it " Talon slapped his thighs. 

" How do we confirm that Cedric is a witch?" I asked. 

" Maxwell promised to give me feedback. I suspect he will sneak into Elisara and get us the answer that we need." Niko informed us. 

" Great. Let us summon Guardian Lenora. We need to make sure that Cedric is safe" Talon stated. 

Twenty minutes later, Guardian Lenora arrived at our chambers. 

" Greetings your majesties "She bowed and there was a tone of fear in her voice. " To what do I owe the pleasure of being summoned to your chambers?"

" How is he ?" I demanded. 

" I was careless your majesties. His wounds have been dressed and I offer my apologies" She bowed. 

" Raise your head Lenora " Niko commanded and she obeyed." This is what I need, ten loyal protective guards, who can keep watch of Cedric. I dont want any of the coven members to get their claws on him or have him removed from the castle or killed. Hence I will task you with this important matter " 

" Your majesty, your interest in this slave has already spread across the castle. And now the coven members have their eyes on him. Moresore we already angered Enforcer Waren and you saw how he gathered his highness Carian and her highness Gisela " 

" We already know" I spoke up.

" Your majesties, are you planning on going to the extra lengths to cause trouble" She whispered. 

" Yes," Niko, Silas, and I spoke at the same time. 

She burst out laughing and then shook her head in disbelief " You are both stubborn and Cedric is no different either, your majesties.

" Are you sure he is okay ?" I spoke up interrupting her mumblings.

" Yes. He is spending time with Fabian in his quarters learning the rules of the inner court your majesties" Guardian Lenora responded. 

" Good. We would like Cedric to be the one serving our dinner" Talon said. 

" He is not ready your majesties" Guardian Lenora vehemently refused. " He needs more time to learn. If you move too quickly you will arouse suspicion" 

" I want to have him at our dinner table " Talon insisted.

Guardian Lenora rubbed her temples and then whispered " I will see what I can do your majesties " She bowed.

" That will be all Lenora, you are dismissed " Niko stated.

She smiled politely, bowed, and then turned and walked out of our chambers.

" You are being pushy Talon" I spoke up. 

" I am. I want to spend time with Cedric. She will find a way " Talon stated with affirmation.
